I don't think this has a chance in hell of happening. No one in the US gives a shit about the Libertines. If they play more than 5 US shows I'll be shocked.

I hope not. Their s/t will always have a place in my heart, when I first became obsessed with the Strokes I wanted to know everything about them, and I was always seeing them get compared to the Libertines, so of course I listened to them and liked them a lot.
I don't know how popular they were because I was a kid when they were relevant. Where do you think they'd be billed on a Roo or Coachella lineup?
Um, second line at best. Third being the most likely? They weren't very popular here and still aren't. They were more known for Pete's relationship with Amy Winehouse from what I remember.

Closing the Mojave at Coachella, not gonna happen at Roo.
I doubt they'll even make it to America though. Those two albums are still great, but I'm still in shock that they're still popular enough in England to sell out Hyde Park, especially after so many bad solo albums/side projects.
Pete Doherty was banned from entering the US in 2007. As much as I want to see them, it's not a matter of popularity. It's a matter of national security.
