He came on 20 minutes late due to a sound check fiasco. I saw him do Across 110th Street and a couple other songs before departing for Damon Albarn.
Yea, that sound check was the clusterfuck of all clusterfucks. It seemed like one guy was working on stuff and everyone else was taking selfies. Ha, oh well, they sounded pretty good once they got things going but I left a little early to make sure I got a good spot for Phosphorescent (which it turns out I probably didn't need to do, that crowd was surprisingly light).
I just heard him on the radio and was wondering how his set went. I hate it when there are half-filled tents at events like this. I always feel so bad for the artists. Haerts kind of bruised my soul a little bit in this way.

I was against the rail for Haerts so I couldn't really see far in the back, but how full/empty was it really?

I got there for the last 2-3 songs and it was 1/4-1/3 full.
Got there right before he started. Lots of lawn layers and the tent was full to the sound board and then loose the rest of the way back. Great time but wish he would have rocked more from his 2012 album with Albarn.

I totally expected quite a bit of the newer album and I think he only ended up doing two tracks from it.

Really makes you think about appreciating the moment you are in, especially when it comes to live music. Rest in Peace. Hopefully his set at Roo gave him a great memory to take with him.
I was there. It was indeed his final performance ever. He took over an hour to setup and still had sound problems for at least the first 10 minutes, at which point it was so offputting that we left. Horrible feedback as bad as any high school talent show. Still, he opened with Across 110th Street! Rest in peace.
