Sorry if this has been brought up somewhere else, but this was my 8th Roo in a row and I have never had an issue with sound, (besides the occasional bleed, which never really bothers me) but I was so disappointed in the sound at the Which Stage during day time sets!
Ben Howard and Cake were barely audible!!!! I was in the crowd, and could not hear the first half of their concerts. And even when I walked all the way to the far left, front side of the stage, front row, the sound was still far too low. Certain instruments and vocalists weren't even on!!
On a brighter note, I FUCKING LOVE BONNNNNAROOOOOOOO!!!! It gets better and better every year, so I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but good lord, this problem needs to be addressed. Maybe it was a new person doing the sound this year. Who knows.
How close were you? I was on the right side of during ben howard. also, what time of day were you there??
sound was excellent at night. horrible during the day. i've never had this issue at roo. sounds was SO LOW during both cake and ben howard. mid-day acts
The only two shows I think I got to see on the Which were Zedd & Kaskade. I stood at the back-ish for both. To the right for Zedd & to the left for Kaskade, though for Kaskade I ended up getting really close on the right before I left. For both shows I though it sounded better than last year & for Kaskade I actually thought that it was suuuuuper loud. I could still hear it all the way at the entrance to pod 1.
I passed by while Capital Cities & Chromeo were playing too, I was to the right for both and also thought they sounded good. Chromeo did actually seem a bit quietish, but I literally just walked past while they were playing so I can't really judge well.
I found that the right side was much better than the left. I stood far right, along the rail for VIP about midway to the beer stand for Ben Howard and it was fine, a bit to low but clear. I was further back and more to the left for Cage the Elephant and it was horrible. Moved to the right and it was fine. All in all though I agree with the volume issues It was way too low in the day time. Sound at Cake was awful... I could easily hear the other stages over Cake, and being HoH to begin with that is really saying something!

Cake was way too quiet. I was a little ways back on the right side, probably as far back as the trees. I could hear "ok" but it sounded like the volume level I would put the stereo on low in my bedroom if I were trying to have a conversation with my friends without having to raise my voice. It felt way too quiet. Zedd and Kaskade did both seem to have reasonable volume but I was a ways up closer for both of those Broken bells seemed quiet to me but to be fair I was wayyyyy back on the left side nearly by the miller lite lounge.
I honestly think the more toward the middle you are at the Which stage, the worse the sound is. If you are on the far sides or far away (such as at This Tent), you can hear fine. And I agree on Cake. We were in the middle and not too far back but we couldn't hear squat.

The only issue I had at Which was at the very beginning of Dr. Dog. We were in the pit and the vocals were kinda cutting in and out during the first song.
ok, glad i'm not the only. like i've said, i've never, ever, had this issue at roo. and don't want to be a downer, but i felt like it was a disservice to the acts. i was front row, left side of stage for ben and couldn't hear a thing.
i started pretty damn close, on the right side, for ben howard, because he is a fave. couldn't hear a thing, way too low. decided to hit the left side of the stage, where all the food vendors are. i've always found that it is super easy to get to the front over there. even while there, on left side of stage, front row, couldn't hear female vocalist, her instrument, and barely hear ben for most of the show. finally got some volume towards the end, although never the female.
cake, i was on the same side, left side, volume kicked in half way, but still very low.
skrillex at night i had no trouble hearing a mile back.
Ben Howard also one of my favs and his sound was really poor. It hurt. But the upside is he will launch this album and do a big ole tour but I was off the rail on the right side right against the center path and his sound was not what it should of been.
