I'm sooo down for this. Make it happen roo!!! Saw em at the LC in Columbus this summer, and it was unforgettably amazing! Only a very few realistic bands could draw me away from a LN set, or really any set!!
Whaaaaa? When were they at the LC?!?!?
Oh wait, It was in like July wasn't it? My friend's bday was that day I believe... Was it a Saturday? If so I had to work, which would be why I didn't go.
Anyways, would they get LN? I feel like they'd be Pre-HL Which or What..
yuuuuppp! It was great. I'm too lazy to find the actual date, but it was definitely this past summer. It was sooo good too. It was outside and I was right up in the pit. Plus they played a lot of my favorite songs! So good. Its hard to place them for me. I want to say LN tent, but I think its more likely for them to get a pre headline what slot. I'd be ok with them getting Phoenix's slot from last year.

Realistically, they'd probably get Pre-HL which
Or maybe The Flaming Lips spot from this year. They might be able to hold that down.

They could definitely hold it down, but Roo wouldn't give em that because the FLips are a spectacle to behold with all the shit goin on onstage (confetti and rainbow people and "fuck yeah roo" balloons.) But, modest mouse is just some folks on a stage playing amazing music for you.
I'm trying to put my extreme bias aside, haha, I'll be quite shocked if modest mouse gets a LN show.
but what I really want is for them to get pre-HL Which so they can play talking shit about a pretty sunset while the sun sets, THAT would be surreal. (Orrrr, they could close a LN tent and just play their discography and play TSAPS while the sun rises!)
I'm seriously super excited because the new album ups the likelihood of getting another chance to see them (on the farm) My one fear is that they'll spend the summer in Europe because they skipped their european winter dates to work on the album and Isaac said something along the lines of "we will make it up to you next year"

I saw them in '06 at House of Blues, and Brock was so drunk it was horrible. The redeeming factor was Man Man opened for them. I found out later on, that they did a makeup show here because it was so horrible and he felt bad. They hadn't come back until last year, 7 years later, to the Civic. The Civic has the worst acoustics in New Orleans and they stopped playing for over 15 minutes to try and fix the sound and did a Q&A session which was great for about 5 minutes until someone asked why they haven't been here in over 7 years. Needless to say, they did sound as good as they could at that venue, but I am upset that I missed 15 mins of music.
I would LOVE for them to play the farm and get a good show out of them because I love them so much.

See, I'm still real young (I turn 21 in march), but I started listening to Modest Mouse right before they released the moon and Antarctica (when I was six) and they've been my favorite group since then. But I was always way to young to realistically go to one of their shows back when they toured more often. Plus I live in central Florida, where we get way less shows than everywhere else in the country. But I finally got to see them last summer at hangout fest in Bama. It is my single favorite show ever (even above Paul McCartney) and it's the only show that I have ever cried at (I cried like 4 times, it was amazing and I wasn't exactly sober) All I'm saying is, I really want to see them on the farm and I will be front and center on the rail at their show if they are.

All I see is... I am a baby. Sorry. lol Yes, front and center at the farm!

Haha, compared to most people on info roo, I am a baby. And I was definitely a baby when compared to all the other people who listened to modest mouse back when I first started to.
MM were my very first concert. It was in Fargo, North Dakota and yet still managed to be the most euphoric show I've ever experienced.
I had forgotten that they were releasing their new song to the radio today and it came on while I was driving home today, I got soooooo excited! I like it a lot, it sounds exactly like what you'd expect from Modest Mouse (which is great)
