Modest Mouse NEEDS to bring all their perfection to Roo next year because modest mouse at Bonnaroo would be literally the happiest moment of life. Isaac Brock and the rest of the gang don't tour nearly enough considering how popular of a group they are and their live show is absolute perfection. They could easily put on one the greatest marathon sets in the history of roo, but I will certainly and more realistically settle for an hour and a half of awesomeness. If it happens, I hope to see some of y'all on the rail along my side.

I saw them at Shaky Knees this year and LOVED their show. I've been waiting a long time to see them live and it was everything I wanted it to be. I would be up front for them at Bonnaroo!

Their early stuff is absolutely incredible. I love Brock's guitar work which I can only describe as angular. I am a big fan of everything that came out before float on. In fact I was at the public pool the other day and they played dramamine. I was shocked.
What I'd want is awesome Isaac Brock during an under-attended Nick Cave slot.

Yeah, LN is wishful thinking, I really think they'd play the which closer before the HL but if they got some serious LN competition like Nick Cave had, it could happen. I'll probably end up crying because they conflict with someone else I'm dying to see, but they are my absolute favorite and I've been an obsessed fan since the age of 6, so I couldn't miss em. Here's to hopes and dreams!

I believe that they closed Which on Sunday last time. Prepreheadlining What sounds about right given their lowered profile since last time. They're still going to be popular but they're not "hot" like they were then.

Goodness, this thread has more hyperbole than the Grouplove one. And I actually enjoy Modest Mouse
Grouplove and Modest Mouse get equal love from me, however, I've never seen Modest Mouse live.... but I don't think they would put on the show that Grouplove does. While Grouplove's show at Bonnaroo wasn't as spectacular as I was hoping, they still rocked it.
I still want to see Modest Mouse.... Let's make this happen.

Ma'am, I'm here to tell you that I've seen group love multiple times over the years. Most recently, just two weeks before I saw modes mouse live, and I'm actually delighted to tell you that, to me, modest mouse is better AT A FESTIVAL, at least. Grouplove's energy at club shows/small venues is amazing and I haven't seen modest mouse in a venue like that. I think it has to do with the crowd though because people are SO excited to finally get to see Modest Mouse cause they're fairly hard to catch, so it perhaps has more to do with the crowd.
Sure but I think that theoretically we're talking about whether they'd preheadline or prepreheadline What.
Edit: I guess that Which between the preheadliner and the headliner could also be an option.
I agree, that was the step up that I was thinking. If they gain enough steam (engenious) I think the could play which pre-HL. Otherwise, we will probably get drunk, sweaty Isaac on the what for prepreheadline. Actually, now that I'm thinking of the fest as a whole, I pray they get prepreheadline so that I can get pit for it and then still get to go enjoy the which pre-HL or a tent, it would decrease the number of shows I missed if I would've had to skip em for modest's pit. Here's to hoping for a blazing hot set in the blistering afternoon heat at roo next year!!!

I'm sooo down for this. Make it happen roo!!! Saw em at the LC in Columbus this summer, and it was unforgettably amazing! Only a very few realistic bands could draw me away from a LN set, or really any set!!

Yeah, there are only two groups (The Rolling Stones and the Pixies) that MIGHT keep me from being on the rail at modest mouse

Oh wait, It was in like July wasn't it? My friend's bday was that day I believe... Was it a Saturday? If so I had to work, which would be why I didn't go.
Anyways, would they get LN? I feel like they'd be Pre-HL Which or What..
