The thought came into my head a few days ago to start this thread but I brushed it off. Then I saw a post that luva shared on Facebook that confirmed to me that this would be a great idea.
One thing that makes me sad is that it takes someone to become sick and/or pass away before we start to tell them how much they mean to us. I try my best to always let the people I love know that I love them but why not let everyone else in on the love?
This thread is a place to put down your thoughts on someone here who has made an impact on your life. I'm not using this to inflate anyone's ego or anything like that, but it's a place where we can just let the people who matter to us know that they do matter. A place to say thank you while they are around to see it. Inforoo has changed my life in ways that I can't explain with words and it is the people here who made this happen. So this thread is in memory of you my friends. A place to celebrate each other while we are still on this stage called life.

As I already told you, you are an angel on earth and I consider it a major blessing that I know someone like you. Time is precious and very short and we haven't spent much time together, but the times that we did always meant so much to me. I remember how you freaked me out at Brunch last year because you knew so much about me. I didn't realize who you were at the time and I thought I had a stalker for a few moments. You always let your light shine around here and in my opinion, you are the heart of Inforoo. Thank you for being you. Thank you for always smiling even though life tries to beat you down sometimes. Thank you for showing such love to someone you barely knew and letting him know that there are still good people on this planet.
I'm glad I got a chance to hang with you a little more this year at 'Roo. You deserve all the great things in your life and I'm sure there are plenty more of that to come. Knowing that there are people like you around keeps me from becoming an angry black man when life gets rough. Thank you Steph. I love you.
FuzzyWarbles: You trusted some random guy who just joined Inforoo enough to offer him a place to stay for his first festival and I am forever thankful. You were with me for my first festival and your words "Welcome to the addiction" when we walked into BSMF holds up more true now than they did then. Thank you for always being there. You helped make my first festival experience...for the lack of a better word...perfect. Next time just listen to me when I say not to walk up to a car of unknown black males in Memphis looking for a ride. I know I kept walking, but if something popped off I would've come back and helped you. Serious. I hate I didn't get to see you this year but you rock man and thank you for helping my journey into the festival world a smooth one.
Tejas: There is a lot I can say about you. There is a lot I've said to you. Nothing I'm going to say here you don't already know. Being my friend you know how expressive I can be. I know it gets on your nerves sometimes but it's rubbing off on you and for that I'm stoked. I love you. So so much. You annoy me often, but I think that's just the age gap. You're still trying to find your way in this crazy world and I know I came on a bit strong when we first started talking. I was so 'OMG YOU'RE AWESOME WOOOOO' and that scared you a bit and even as recent as this current Roo I let some of our past troubles rise up when I wish they wouldn't. You know I love you though. You're one of my favorite people even though you feel you don't deserve that title. What I love most about you is your heart. What a heart! You're a great guy and I wish you would see that as much as I do. You are like a little brother to me and even though I'm hard on you sometimes (giggity), please know that it is out of love.
You walked in Centeroo with me my first time. I'll never forget that. You walked with me out of Centeroo for the last time after Tom Petty. You trusted me enough to join my camp when you were coming to Roo solo last year and that meant a lot. DUDE YOU WERE A HUGE PART OF MY FIRST BONNAROO. I don't think you realize how much that means. Plus I love your willingness to learn. You left 'Roo 13 a better person than you came...we both did and seeing you this year I saw that you kept working on what you learned and that inspires me.
I hate we didn't get to see each other much this year but I pray we have more time on this earth together. You continue to impress me with your growth and I'm glad to call you a little brother. Thank you for being you sir and know that I am here if you need me. You know this but I know we often forget that sometimes. I love you Jordan.
crazykittensmile: The Queen B herself. I adore you to bits. Ever since I came into chat you have treated me with the utmost respect and warmth. What I love about you is that you are you regardless. You managed to translate your awesome on the internet and that takes skill. Yeah you can't make a heart with your hands (but you're getting there) but I'm so glad to call you a friend. Thank you for your honesty and kindness. Two out of three of my favorite pit experiences are with you. I think we have to do at least one pit together every year now...it's our thing. Seeing Bjork and Kanye with you was so much fun. On top of that thank you for all you do here on the boards. In my opinion Inforoo has the best mods on the internet. You are fair. Thank you for being so nice to me since day 1 and here's to many more memories together. I love you crazy cat lady!

hey token07: thanks for the opportunity to let you know how much I appreciate you and look forward to seeing you again at roo and hopefully many other fests!! you're a warm hearted, open, honest guy & you've also got impeccable timing as you chose to share your thoughts just as I was feeling a little down and you lifted my spirit right up. that's what a good friend does and you didn't even know you were doin it!
Inforoo has changed my life in ways that I can't explain with words and it is the people here who made this happen. So this thread is in memory of you my friends

Also, thank you for not mentioning how I was embarrassingly drunk when we first met You truly are a beam of light and a breath of fresh air. Your pickles are almost as awesome as your mustache. You give great hugs, send the best snaps, and always see the best in others. I love that you embraced us all just as quickly as we embraced you, and that you are always looking to pay it forward by being so welcoming to other new folks. You're always open to new music and new experiences, and being a part of your first (and second!) bonnaroo was a pure joy. It was clear that you found a new home for yourself right away, and that you want to make others feel at home as well. And I am so on board for our annual pit experience! <3

Madeline- I've always loved you but after camping with you this year (and your beautiful bone structure) that love has grown more than I expected. Your tenderness doesn't come through as strongly online but it smacks you in the face in person and was something that helped me get through some of my rough mental moments at Roo. Basically, you rock and I'm glad to know you. I should just call you Momdeline from now on. You showed me the right amount of mom love, caring but not overbearing. You are correct. I am well-versed in all the way in which I am awesome . I feel likewise about next month. I was just talking the other day about how sad it was that I was camped with you all weekend and barely saw you at Roo and how this needed to be remedied next month.

This is my third attempt at trying to respond to this most kind gesture. token07, I'm not sure how you knew this, but you could not have picked a better time to create this thread. I have been at a loss of words since yesterday, well Friday too thanks to fawnmart & abrakapokus. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. And I mean that.
I know some people will scoff at this, say this is just lip service, but this place really is my home and you guys are my family. When something good happens to me, this is the first place I want to tell. And when something bad happens, I know I can come here for love and support. You won't find me doing that anywhere else. And in between the good and the bad, you will find me here. Over a week ago I debated deactivating my account, for all of about five minutes. But in my heart I knew I could never do that. Because this is my home. Besides the people I actually reside with, y'all are the people I hold most dear. Some of you might find that stupid or sad & think it speaks of my lack of a "real" outside world, but I don't care. Someone told me recently that this is just internet friends, so therefore not real life friends, but that could not be farther from the truth. We basically speak to each other every single day. We go to bat for each other all of the time. We support each other in the good and the bad. I can't think of a better group of people to have my back and to spend my time with. To love and laugh and cry with.
So, in celebration of YOU, I want to thank each & every one of you here. You mean so much to me and I cannot wait until the next time I see you again. Be it next week or next year.
And token07, you are the man. I am so proud to call you my Mississippi brother. Love you!

Cleo! Your heart is ridiculous, and I mean that in the very best way. I truly don't know how anyone can spread so much happiness, but I am extremely lucky to be on the receiving end. At one point during this year's bonnaroo, my sister looked at me and simply told me that she got a token hug. We both just started crying at the thought because your love is so immense, that was the only reaction we could come up with. I look forward to being your Momdeline for many, many years.

Dammit! You should have reminded me! One of these years, I won't totally flake out and actually carry my cell phone on me, I even actually tried to get into the Janelle pit to try and find y'all but had no luck. I still haven't completely rules out Bear Creek, so I'll hold on to that hope!

I felt like I was encountering family every time I turned around at Bonnaroo this year. I'm looking forward to building even stronger friendships with you all. And for that, I am grateful.

NothingButFlowers You are such a talented, smart, crafty, funny, witty, and silently strong lady. You have impeccable taste in film and tv, and your corresponding avatar/name changes make me smile (when I get them, you're way hipper than I am). You always think of other people and go above and beyond to make them feel special or thought of. I have thoroughly enjoyed every small bit of time we've carved out together here and there over the years, especially our initial meeting/margaritas! One of these days we'll go to a festival together

I was so excited to meet you on that first trip to San Diego, and you did not disappoint!
