- Will someone please stab Kygo in the head. - Sylvan Esso, too short, they gave the dog shit bands before and after them so much more time. I keep falling deeper in love with Sylvan Esso. - It regularly amazes me how one can not fucking sing and can be a band on stage at a major music festival #awolnation #echosmith
Yeah excited to see him. Hopefully I can make it down in time for Run the Jewels as well. Anyone who wants my wristband for Sat + Sun and is either going to be in the area or on my route down from NJ; send me a PM!
Yep. Red Frog still sucks at logistics. Can't do anything about the mud, but how about you turn off the friggin smoke machines in the pathway when the entire wooden ramp and stairs are covered in mud and slippery.
The water stations are way worse than last year and in God awful spots. Even VIP ran out of water at the main stage for a while yesterday.
They inexplicably stopped running the shuttle yesterday, my friends had to walk 2+ miles with all their shit to get to our campsite.
Paul was awesome as expected, though the crowd was very laid back near me Andrew McMahon killed it to start today too. I'm chilling in the AC now in VIP until I hit sturgill, Matt and Kim, foster, sublime, kings of Leon, matoma and lettuce. That's going to be a pretty sweet run tonight.

Smart man. I should've done this.
Seeing Paul again was amazing. But as everyone else has said, logistically and vibe wise this festival is horrid. I couldn't imagine how much it must suck to camp there for 4 days this year. Very glad I paid what I did, saw what I wanted to see, and then drove home.

It wasn't too too bad last year, but I've seen pics from the fest on FB this year, and I'm glad I didn't return. They only have three watering stations for the entire fest - I've heard stories of hour-plus waits. That's ridiculously stupid, not to mention dangerous. I hope the Red Frog takeover makes a big difference from here on out. Between the disorganization, logistics, and public relations, Firefly is garnering a pretty horrendous reputation.

Yeah I wound up buying bottled water from the food vendors a few times because the line was so long. I know the mud and the type of people attending isn't something they can control, but both really brought things down this year. Last year the dust was unbearable... Think I prefer the dust to the mud.
man i hope Modest Mouse was better in person then what i just watched from last night. i had to turn that off after 5 songs, they seemed to have phoned it in big time
I just saw a weather statement that says a tornado warning. I guess they put it up on the screens? My in-laws are there and I texted but haven't heard back yet.
I camped next to some other Bonnaroo Vets and we made the ultimate neighbor tent fort. Took us three hours this morning but guess what were dry and everything is blowing away like some others we've seen. If anyone is in premier and needs a place for the night we got an extra dry tent under tarps.
Anyone see. The kid on acid walking around with the huge umbrella

this weekend really has been such a let down. im really trying to stay positive knowing im seeing the killers tmrw but this really has just been a few bright spots in an otherwise shit show of a weekend
Well at least there's one benefit to KOL being scheduled on Saturday now.
I'm sure inside the festival is going to be awful today, nothing you can do about that though, and they can't control the weather.
To add to the awful logistics stories, yesterday during Sturgill Simpson a dude literally collapsed and had a seizure right in front of security. People in the VIP area ran to try to get medics (not security). In the ensuing 5 minutes with no medical response, his friends got him up and were like, "We'll just take him back to the tent. It'll be alright." It was shocking to watch security do nothing, like not even get on a radio.
I'm pretty sure this place needs to get Springsteen and Prince to headline back to back for me to do this again.

I forgot why I didn't want to go back. Things like this definitely remind me.
Can't say I've been having the best first festival experience. Last night was fun having to come back and nail things down /s. It went ok. My feet are blistered beyond belief from mud and wet socks. Staying out for killers but I am definitely looking forward to being home now
At least they evacuated it in time for people to get back to campsite, take down everything, and get to each vehicle. If they would have tried to wait another half-hour later than they did it would been a disaster.
I've prob had a better time than most. I guess that comes with a free guest pass. In the casino, going to watch Max Frost and Cold War Kids and head out.
Lol at the evacuation forcing everyone to miss Kings of Leon and Aoki. Thank god this didn't happen another night. Yeah there aren't enough water stations. It is a fairly young crowd, the weird fun people/crews aren't as out in the open as they are at Roo (which is disappointing) but nonetheless I've seen a lot of great music this weekend. Red frog's organization is quite horrible though, yes
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Also. Tycho and Glass Animals have been my biggest surprises of the weekend - was fairly excited for the two shows going in but hadn't considered them to be can't-misses; came out feeling like they were both borderline transcendental. Glass Animals were absolutely perfect for the forest stage.

caught on from last ngihts stream and thought Andrew McMAhon was really good, Spoon was solid too despite not having all of their instruments present. I liked Dirty Heads but it seemed like their mics were too low or was it just me?
