I'm wondering if anyone is interested in splitting a RV for Bonnaroo 2007; I'm in Salem, New Hampshire and have three people, thats just not enough to make it cost worthy for us.....Anyone interested, just post here....

I'm out of the base of Salem, New Hampshire, about twenty five minutes north of Boston.... Last year I went with a RV group that left DC. ; I just flew in to BWI and drove to their house. Ending up working out excellent.... Back to this year, I'm willing to fly to a location again; as long as it is cost effective. I'm not looking to drive from NH anyways; my best places to hook up with people would be BWI (Maryland) or maybe RDU (Raleigh,NC). I'm willing to try to get anything to work, me and my friends are easy to get along with, in our thirties and ready to party. No trouble makers here..... This will be my third Roo; one of my friends will be a newbie and the other went with me in 2005. Tented the first year, RV the second; will RV now....Thanks for reading this mess and lets work something out....

Hrrrrmmm... is RV parking like way way WAY far from centeroo, or just moderately farther, or what? Anybody know? My sister lives near chicago and owns a fairly nice RV... i'm trying to convince her to join me this year and if so there's a good chance we'd be taking that. I'll keep you posted, i'm sure she wouldn't mind some extra friends, expecially if it meant her getting some extra cash

Most of them are a 10 -20 minute walk depending on which one you are in.

He's right, about the walk time....There's three RV areas, two of which are closer than the third... Trust me, you want to be in a RV... I've went both ways and like mentioned above; you'll be better rested by far; I'm going in a RV again this year, just figuring out the best way.... Remember two nights the sets run till 4 in the morning , then after you get back too, say your tent at 5am, fall asleep; then the Sun rises at 6:30 and by 8am your in a sweat hut....As opposed to a RV, where you get back , fall asleep in A/C and sleep till say noon... You'll also have shorter walks all weekend, because you'll be closer to Centeroo .... Let me know, what you find out...
I drove from Lebanon, NH last year. Don't think my 98' 178,000miles get out and push escort/wagon will make it this year. But, I am looking for a ride from NH.....

There are obvious benefits of doing the RV thing, but as "nh5698" said, they can be pretty stuffy when that brutal Tennessee sun starts baking the farm. Also, most RVers bring/run generators...and they are LOUD!. One more thing to consider is this: In my previuos 3 years, i've seen more RVs being pulled-over and searched than other vehicle (VW vans covered in dancing "dead" bears not included).

Like stated above, I went in a RV last year, and that is the way to go, you need somewhere relatively quiet and cool to sleep from 5am to noon; to withstand the late night sets. You just feel better.....; as far as RV's being pulled over, I had no problem with cops. If your in a rented one, with RV America stickers or what blasted all over them and obeying the law, you would have no problem.....
Ok, to get this thread back on track ; I'm looking to hook-up with RV companions; I have a party of three...Read my posts above, if you will.....
So, I am a UMass grad student living in Boston and I am very interested in riding down with you all if possible. Contact me at deleonrex@hotmail.com and we can discuss details. Peace.
Well, I had plans and they fell through, I'm lookin to get in on a RV ( me and one friend, possibly two) I met up with some people off craigslist last year and jumped in with them; they have other plans this year. So, if you have some people that backed out or are looking for some people, let me know; I'm up for almost anything, I travel well and my friends are cool.
I have an uncle who has gone with me the past two years that has an RV. If he can't afford to go this year (and that is what he has hinted), I will just buy his ticket for him (with the RV pass). It's cheaper than renting one and also means I won't be going alone this year.

I'm in Raleigh and definately looking at grabbing an RV for the trip. I'd be happy to host you for the day if you got in early (up to 4 people) and we could leave Wednesday night!
I've looked and the fee seems to be about $500 for an 8 person, plus the $75 RV fee at 'roo, so if I could find the bodies and the $70 per person, I'd rent it in my name and host the security desposit!

The generator runs off gas. So you fill up your RV before you go in and you'll have plenty of gas. Seeing that the gas tanks in RV's are huge and the generator uses up roughly a gallon a hour.... You don't need to run it all day, just turn it on when you get back at 5am run the A/C while you sleep till noon.... You'll be allset..... Now to get back to my original reason for this thread; although I have no qualms with answering questions....I'm still looking to get into a RV... Jemstoned, email me if your looking for people; I know I have three for sure.... My email is beau1970@verizon.net
If anyone else has room email as well.... Thanks to all... Here is one of my posts from earlier: Posted by nh5698 on Jan 17, 2007, 10:25am I'm out of Salem, New Hampshire, about twenty five minutes north of Boston.... I'm still interested in the RV thang...I'm picking up a friend in CT...and maybe another on the PA/NJ line...gonna try to find out how interested they might be in it...any idea of what the overall cost between gas & mileage would be? An estimate of 444 might help in the sway or nay dept!! Lemme know!!
Hey we are getting an RV fromt eh Philadelphia/South Jersey area. We need a couple more people to get in with us. We've been to bonnaroo 4 years now and have taken an RV 3 of those years. We plan on leaving late wednesday and coming home early monday. Let me know what you think.
Wondering if anyone is in the same deal I am, I never can find enough of my own crew to get a RV. I've found great people the last two years and I'm on a mission again. Last year three of us flew into Philly and went from there....This year I have three people , that includes me; this will be my fourth Roo, they will be new to the Roo. The people I went with last year are going to Langeroo instead, so I need partners... Last year I found someone here, so here it goes... The post below is from last year, and still applies.....

Thats a bunch of BS. There RV's for reasonable prices around the Atlanta area, which is only 3 hours from Manchester. We just booked a 31 ft class C two days ago in Rome GA, for 1200 bucks. They're just trying to get you to pay their jacked up rates. Kentucky is probably more booked but I found a few there. Its a little farther, maybe 7 hours, but WVA has some too.

Try googgling places that rent rv's from actual people instead of and rv rental. We found a place in Cincinnati. So we're getting a 29ft camper for $1050 and that's with unlimited milage.
