That's really interesting CMA's are set for the 2nd weekend which is usually Roo's. I already took my vacation for that weekend but it can be moved....here's hoping we get the first week as opposed to the 3rd....my god the weather difference!

Hard to tell what's going to happen. More often than not they are the same weekend.
It will be unfortunate though for anyone who plans to hotel in Nashville either prior or after Bonnaroo. Rates everywhere will be much higher the entire CMA week.
Does anyone have any idea when Bonnaroo will be next year? Trying to plan my wedding and we have to make sure it's not during Bonnaroo lol
It could easily be either June 11-14 or June 18-21. No way of knowing just yet. I'd avoid both weekends, as I've had friends that planned wedding on what they thought were non-Roo weekends and then Roo switched it up.
Based on the Father's Day "theory" it'll be June 18-21. And one of the hottest...
I don't think I've been in town for father's day since 2008, either because of Phish or Bonnaroo.
Its kind of a running joke between my Dad and me now, and he really doesn't care, but it would be nice to actually be around for father's day next year.

Based on the tried and true method of seeing when Manchester hotels are blocked off (specifically the Holiday Inn Express which they use as artist/press check in) I would count on it being June 11-14.
The CMA dates have no effect on Bonnaroo. It used to always be the same weekend except for the past few years.
Nashville pushed for Roo to change the dates 2 years ago. In return, they offered the festival some additional assistance. The daily buses back and forth from LP field was part of the deal. Not to say that it cannot go back to the same weekend in the future.
Being the analytical type, I looked at the data to see if that would give any indication.
Assuming Wikipedia has the right dates for past Bonnaroos, it has been on Father's Day weekend six times (2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2013, and 2014). It has been on the the weekend before Father's Day six times as well (2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012). One time, 2002, it was the weekend after Father's Day. We'll assume that weekend isn't an option any more since that was the first year and they've never done it again.
Father's Day can fall anywhere between the 15th and the 21st. I checked to see if where in that range it falls has an effect and it does. Excluding 2002, with one exception, if Father's Day is on the 15th through the 18th, Bonnaroo has been on Father's Day weekend and if Father's Day is on the 19th through the 21st it is the weekend before. The one exception was 2012 when Father's Day was on the 17th but Bonnaroo was the week before.
In 2015, Father's Day is on the 21st which would seem to indicate Bonnaroo would be June 11-14. (Past performance is no guarantee of future results, etc. etc. - don't blame me if I'm wrong!)

That article just says the Mayor "wants" to stagger the weekend? I would assume Bonnaroo has to pick the best dates for them from a logistical standpoint, regardless of CMA. If they put the festival the same weekend as Governors Ball or Firefly, that could be pretty damaging to all festivals involved.
