Hoping for an Ottawa loss and and LA win tonight. I'd really like the Kings to sneak into the playoffs. Thank God the Bruins aren't playing tonight. I'll be at a concert. It's also safe to say that Bruins game Thursday against the Panthers is gonna be the sloppiest night of the season for me. $1 drinks from 8-10
I have been pretty much avoiding watching hockey for the last two years while the Sabres loaded up on draft picks for 2015-16.
It's hard to root for your team to lose for that long so i thought it would be fun to root for the Coyotes to win instead. It has not been.
I was in Phoenix last year and went to a Yotes Kings game. It was a ton of fun but reminded me more of an AHL game, very family friendly. When I'm not rooting on the Hawks, I'm cheering for the Leafs so I understand your pain.
Goddamn it, the Penguins shit the bed last night. Just in case anyone wants to waste some time with the statistical likelihood of their team making it:

Well I guess last night is fine. The wild aren't a team I wanna see the hawks have to play first round right now. So st Louis can have 1st in the central. Then if Minnesota takes care of them the hawks are free to Knock them out in the second round.... Again either way, a beer on whoevers team is out first at roo, yea?

sounds like a deal to me. beer/drink, winners choice. 3rd times a charm to not get knocked out by the hawks this year!

Yeah, I love how Edmonton tried to send him down the river and blamed their shitty team on him. Now he goes to the Wild and is a rockstar. It's blatantly obvious that Edmonton has more problems than their goaltender.
Claude Julien is sometimes the most idiotic coach with his decisions. In a tight spot and trying to secure a playoff spot? Fuck it, change all the lines that have been working the past few weeks and give Greg Campbell an insane amount of ice time.

The Bruins have a lot of players to blame this year (Smith, Lucic, Sods) but Julien certainly doesn't help when he is a stubborn asshole who loves players like Campbell and Paille and hates anyone who can score. The Lucic-Pasta-Sppons line was fine and he had to fuck it up because he just loves his "core guys."
Not to say the Bruins were going to win last night against Holtby, but at least give them a fighting chance Claude.

Tonight should be a good game.
at this rate, I'd rather see the pens or Bruins 1st round, then the fucking Sens. I'm a sucker for a good underdog story, so I hope the Sens make it, but only if they get the Rangers 1st round, They are playing some seriously dangerous hockey right now.
Kings are dead. Bruins on the ropes, Price breaks Habs all time record for wins in a season (topping names like Dryden, Plante, and Roy), and Hammond now holds a record of 19-1-2, all within the last 2 months. What a fucking year!
Anybody can win it this year, and sure its been said before, it has never been more true!!! They are calling it "the year of the goalie." and nobody in the world can deny that Carey Price is #1 in the world. I pray he can carry the Habs the rest of the way, cuz the Habs have scored the least amount of goals than any other team in playoff position, and might be without their leading scorer for longer than they'd like. That said, they have also allowed the fewest goals, and championships are built on defence.
ND really tried to make a game out of it there at the end
I know! I really wanted to go to sleep early but they made it a game.
i will be trying to tune in sat night to check the game out, thinking BU will take it, we shall see. wild play, having people over for the coachella stream, just not sure i'll be able to get it on the tv

I'd like to but I think it's dependent on how the Sabres-Blue Jackets game goes tonight. If they can't pull out a loss I don't think I could bear to watch Eichel knowing that he could slip away on Saturday because the Sabres refuse to take a game off. I am so stressed!!!

I appreciate that Claude got the B's a cup, but I'm starting to get the feeling that he needs to go. I used to be pretty neutral about him, but the more I see his behavior the less I like what I see. He is stubborn, fucked up the lines, and then put them back. How about we stick with what works, and you stop getting attached to worthless players? Jesus. At this point, I'm okay with the Bruins not making the playoffs because then maybe it will cause the organization to clean house and get rid of dead weight. I also wouldn't include Lucic in the non-productive category, because he's been on one of the most productive lines all season. But yeah - get rid of Campbell, Paille, Sods, and maybe even Kelly.

It's not just me. It's an organizational decision. They have been rebuilding for two years with McDavid or Eichel being the last piece. Arizona decided a little before the trade deadline that they wanted the same, traded their top two scorers and are now practically shooting on their own net to get there.

typical homer Americans. Eichel is for sure the #2 in this draft class and will be a huge asset, but McDavid WILL turn a bottom feeder into a playoff team instantly. Th guy is scoring 3-5 goals a game on a regular basis. He's the next Crosby, with better hands and way more speed.

Not being a homer. With the lottery we have an 80% chance of Eichel and a 20% of McDavid. McDavid's the prize but Eichel is the more likely result so I'm just going to assume that's who we'll end up with and at worst be pleasantly surprised after the lottery next weekend.
I'm totally fine with Eichel, Tyler Ennis and Evander Kane on our first line. I'll be even more pumped with McDavid.
