Anyone have any plans of going to this? I would pay the money to see Edward Sharpe alone so it seems like a no brainer to me? I do absolutely hate Riverbend as a music venue, but this is too close / cheap to pass up for me!
Anyone go to this last year? If so, how was it? Where is the third stage? Any ammo I can use to help convince friends to go??

MonieWhereispassionpit If you get a 4 pack from the box office it is only like 45$ a ticket..around 175 for the 4... I would split a 4 pack with you or anyone else trying to get a little discount? and Monica McCartney in October is looking like a real possibility

PNC is an ampitheater inside of riverbend. A two minute walk from the lawn of riverbend. Not sure where the gold stage will be though...
edit: I'm sure the other stage will be inside, prolly just on the opposite side of where PNC is
yeah what umphlove said... basically as you are leaving riverbend, behind the lawn sort of back right side facing stage, they built a smaller amphitheater with no lawn. I think it is a much better place to see a show than Riverbend. After Radiohead in 2012 I vowed never to go back there. If you want to really enjoy the show you need pavilion seats. For 45$ one band I really like is enough to sell me, throw in 2-3 I kinda like or am at least interested in and I will go solo if I have to!

My plan is about the same, I WANT to find people to throw in on a hotel room, but I'll be lucky if i can even convince any of my friends to go... I'll take one more ticket on, I know someone who will go... wether she will pay or not I'll find out I guess! lol

yeah that was my least favorite concert I've ever been to, for a variety of reasons. Mostly because my dog was litteraly dying and my sister texted me that he wasn't doing well and I needed to come see him that night....we had to put him down in the morning which was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do
The other part were the damn people in the lawn who apparently came there to discuss the Reds, or what happened last weekend, or just random stupid shit that did not need to be yelled over one of the greatest bands of our generation (IMO)
I hate that shit, seriously if you want to talk there are far better, cheaper, air conditioned places with SEATS to SIT AND TALK IN that you can go to.. I've stuck to my vow but for this one I dont think I can pass a return trip...value is just too high for me on this one.
And I may have someone. I'll see her this weekend and bring it up. We could all throw down on a room w two beds... Idk how close you are with your lady friend, but I don't mind sharing a bed with my friend... Splitting between 4 is cheaper than 2. But I know you live much closer than me, so that's kinda up to you. I'll have to get a room regardless.

Riverbend is only like 4 miles from my place, and that lineup is solid, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to the Reds game and bar hopping in OTR that night for a bachelor party. If I end up at the Throwdown, however, I'd definitely like to meet some of you crazy kids.

YES! SAME SHOW! No, I did not dump a full Bud Light on you. I wasn't on the lawn, I was in the front section of the pavillion part. I don't fuck around with my Blink seating. But, if you make it to this, then I'll be happy to buy you a nice cold Bud Light to make up for that very rude person who did that to you!

OMG! Funny story about that.... So when you gave that to me I was super hammered and forgot that I had put it in my bra. I passed the eff out that night and didn't bother changing. When I finally decided to shower the next day around like noonish (after being up for a bit) I was super confused as to why there was a bottle cap in my bra. Took me a few minutes to realize what it was. Anyways, it now sits in my room on my dresser just waiting to be used! (Probably going to get its first run at Riot fest next weekend!!!)
