So many great funk bands that I'd love to see opinion the happiest place on Earth and this article makes a great point on which ones we should hope for... LINK
One thing that has to happen is Lettuce needs to close a LN tent on Frifay or Saturday and Hopefully get involved in a superjam. Also, Trombone Shorty needs to get a better set time than he did 2013 because the heat and openness of the what field prevented him from getting the come he deserved. Not mentioned in the article they should bring Zach Deputy to play the solar stage or cafe where and Snarky Puppy to play a tent Thursday (both of which should jump in on SJ's.) There are a million other things that should happen but there's no time to list them all.
I know my fellow inforoosters support me on this because who can say know to a sunrise set of pure funk from Lettuce?!?!

If you don't know Lettuce, you need to...
I'm seeing them on November at bear's creek. Thanks for the heads up and the link so I can check them out!
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.

Lettuce has been involved in some way with the SuperJams in both 2013 (Hip Hop) and 2014(Trucks SJ featured Krasno and Deitch). Bonnaroo does need to step up and give them the late night set they deserve. Unfortunately with the EDM craze and that taking up a lot of the LN spots, Lettuce would probably be relegated to an Umphrey's '14 time slot.

Bring Orgone back to the farm! Also, I've been saying Lettuce should play late night after I first went in 2012. Would love New Mastersounds and Soulive

I'd love to see Antibalas and Orgone return and would enjoy seeing Lettuce get a set of their own. I'd also like to see Budos Band and T Bird and the Breaks on a future lineup.
I agree with everything here and it's called Bear Creek.
Yes Bear Creek is absolutely amazing... That being said I will never return. But there were MANY great shows in 2013 and the grounds are amazing, but I'm quite sure I will not have a sophomore effort at BC
Are you the guy that had a pretty bad wreck on the way home?
Yes sirrrr. I didn't want to sound all "woe is me" so I didn't address what the reason was for me not going back. But yeah, that's me. The most memorable end I've had to a festival trip for sure!!! Haha
But I reallyyyy did love BC last year, the lineup was amazing, seriously loaded to the ceiling with many the top funk acts around today, just like heaven.
Besides, that beautiful swamp is probably the funkiest place on the planet during that week of November. I'm not suggesting Roo return to jam/funk only, I'm just saying the farm could turn up the funk, a little bit at least, by bringing a few more solid funk acts with minimal effort and it wouldn't negatively impact the sells really because I'm just talking about a few solid bands to give me something to groove to! Preferably by giving Lettuce a tent closing LN show and also bringing Dumpstaphunk, Karl Denson (and that tiny universe of his), Zach Deputy, and/or Trombone Shorty (but, honestly, I don't think he would come back so soon, though it seems to me that he has gained a much larger fan-base.)

All great suggestions. I was really sorry to read what happened to you and I'm glad you're back up and at em again. I'm always happy to see Galactic back on the farm too, they were a staple for years but it's been a few now.

I love the suggestions so far. I would just add KDTU to the wish list. And I love that the funk was a huge part of the Derek Trucks SuperJam this year and the Jim James/John Oates one the year before (both featuring multiple Sly & The Family Stone covers).
Ok, I'm gonna go ahead and put it out there because it slipped my mind before and we all know it won't happen, but the show that I want to see more than any other is Chic feat. Nile Rodgers (hopefully in the LN Which closing spot)
