So I have finally found a couple music fests over here. Of course I've never heard of any of the artists, and Thai music is generally pretty horrible, but I guess live music and camping should be fun enough... right?
This one is pretty popular here, lots of my local university friends and my students hype it up. It's called 'Overcoat' because it takes place in the "winter" being in the mountains means the weather can get fairly "chilly", so you wear an overcoat. Of course Thai cold is drastically different than my idea of cold, so the weather should be perfect for camping.
I don't like psy-trance, but I'll never say no to partying and camping on a beach. Caters mostly to foreigners but I suppose it'll be worth checking out. Bonus points for taking place over New Year's holiday.
So yeah. No real point to this thread, unless some of y'all wanna vacation over here and party Thai-sty. I'll probably do a review of each fest. Hopefully these help fill the hole in my heart from music fest season this year.
