I'm either going to this or the Tampa lineup that is the same lineup. For whatever reason, Alt-J is not on the Orlando lineup, so I'm going to have to travel.

I emailed their booking agent because I had to know if they were going to turn up in Orlando later or something, and they aren't, so Tampa or Jville it is.

This lineup is awfuly close to the same as 97X Next Big Thing. I have contact information for volunteering if anyone in the Saint Petersburg area is interested. Work half and enjoy the rest the day with free entry. Shoot me a PM and I will give you the info. Alt J is playing

I'm going. I went a couple of years ago and it was a decent day for a pretty good price. Being able to drive there late in the morning and still sleep in my bed that night makes it a rare treat for Florida.

That is quite a treat! I just moved into a new house that is literally 10 minutes away from the venue so I'm really liking that.
I don't know if I'll be going back to this fest, even though it's 40 minutes from my house. The main stage sound was terrible and the people up front were jackasses.
Literally shoving their way through the crowns with force to get closer, pushing people down. Mostly naked girls crowdsurfing (it's just nasty to have skank ass sweat hit your head) talking through the music louder than the music, holding up cell phones over their heads for the whole show by the hundreds. Pushing people around just to be an asshole. 250 lb guys crowdsurfing. Throwing half full water bottles into the crowd. Pretty much every terrible behavior you can imagine.
If the sound was better I would go anyways and not get caught in the fray up front, but screw that, it sounded terrible so we just left during the first half of fall out boy's set.
Alt-J was the highlight of the fest, but the New Politics set sounded like a lot of fun.
The flow of the fest and setup was great for the size but te sound and crowd issues far outweighed the good points.

Some of the sets I did notice less than polite behavior but I actually thought the crowds at Big Ticket were far more tame than many city festivals I've been to. I do agree about the main stage sound though and if you watched close enough you could see a lot of bands getting frustrated with it right up through Weezer's set (I wasn't close enough during FOB). I can't say if I would go back. Media passes really made the difference for me so it's not like I wasted any money on it (other than $10 parking).
I thought Alt-J, J. Roddy & The Business and Big Data were probably my favorite sets of the day. I got to interview Raw Fabrics (first band of the day) and while their music isn't 100% my favorite I thought they had a fun stage presence and they're very kind and polite guys. I have to remember to check out Speaking Cursive and The Dog Apollo again too since they're local.
