Only complaint about TLOP is the track FML. That song is trash. Kinda loving everything else about it though.
FML was easily the best track debuted yesterday with that sexy bass line in Fade a close second. The rest were not that good, what the hell are you smoking?

I was about to say that FML was great as well but then I realized who posted it so I didn't bother.

Could this finally be the moment where Kanye destroys his reputation with white folk? T-Swift is one of the untouchable celebs. People are going to melt hard as this spreads

i love kanye, don't get me wrong, but he's being such a dickhead. Using the argument that no one understands his art, and because of the fact that its art, its okay to do say that shit about taylor(who i actually am not a fan of at all), is such bs. If RJ came out with another song saying "Kim still wants to fuck me, I made that bitch famous" kanye would be in an outroar about the disrespect of the lyric. Dude needs to come down to earth.

That line was not that bad. He didn't say he was going to fuck her, he said they might still have sex. It didn't sound rapey, it sounded consensual. Everyone sounding the drums for Kanye's demise should probably slow down a little. He says he got permission from her. So until she comes out and says she didn't give it, then I'm leaning towards believing one of the two main people in the debate.
Anyway, when (if) this album ever comes out, I'm just going to throw No More Parties on the end as a bonus track.

I actually enjoyed all the parts of the album Kanye wasn't rapping on quite a bit. Take out Famous entirely, and the line about bleached assholes, and throw in No More Parties in LA and some of the other pre-release tracks and it's a pretty good album. Not his best by any means, but good. Despite the fact that he's completely losing his mind, Kanye's still making solid music, especially compared to all the other artists from the early 2000s who have long since disappeared.
Kanye got a lot of negative criticism from hip hop's core fan base for Yeezus. Charlamagne (spelling) told him to his face that he thought it was garbage when he was on the Breakfast Club. I think he wanted to win back the love of that fan base.
In the era that Kanye began his rise, a song like Famous is pretty par for the course and not really out of the norm. Hip Hop is riddled with misogynists. So, while the idea of the song is cringe-worthy at best, I doubt it will have a large negative affect on him.

It's so strange that Kanye went to Italy (?) to record a couple of verses on a song that just ended up being a GOOD Friday track
I think he was flying to Italy for another reason and it held up the release. That was why the track was released on Monday as opposed to Friday, not because he went there to specifically record the song.
And anyone who is bothered by the comment that Kanye made about bitch being an endearing term in hip hop, might as well stop listening all together.
From Pusha's last album:
"New bitch I've been fucking might start a rap war."
"Shout out to all my bitches fucking baseball niggas."
"Bitches love to shop, levitate the mall"
First, the problem with Kanye's "BITCH IS AN ENDEARING TERM" Tweet was that it's flat out bullshit, and he knows it. Even though there are a few offhand incidents where it's used in a manner which is meant as complimentary, it still comes off as demeaning (see, ironically, "That's My Bitch" off of Watch the Throne).
Second, do you really not get the difference between standard issue ignorant rap bravado, and between specifically naming a person, referring to them as a bitch, and then intimatging that they owe you sex because you (weirdly, wrongly and insultingly) believe that you made them famous?
No, I get it, and although I haven't heard to song in question yet, I think it's pretty irresponsible of Kanye, especially is Taylor told him not to do it. I am just questioning if it is more offensive than pretty much labeling all women as bitches, which hip hop does routinely.

Hip hop's misogyny is a well-worn area of debate which certainly merits discussion. However, it gets much weirder, and much more strident, when it's applied directly to one person in such a confrontational manner.
Let me put it this way - let's say you're out with one of your friends in public, and he makes an off the cuff remark about how some woman is/was a bitch. You'd probably be like "uh, why don't you chill with that," but it wouldn't light you up. Next let's say a woman bumps into him on the street and he lets loose with a "watch it, bitch." I'd imagine your reaction to that moment would be much, much more visceral, due to how direct it is.
But maybe I'm wrong and you'd just be all "lolz no worries ITS JUST JOKES"
I mean, I get it. I feel bad for Taylor and the unwanted attention this is going to mean for her, but I don't think it makes it any more offensive.
To flip it, if someone makes a racist comment about one person, or an entire race, I feel just as angry.

On one level, I like this "album based on listener feedback" thing he seems to be doing ... assuming he listens to the feedback of "'Famous' is terrible."
