The lords of spelling are frowning upon me today.
At the beginning of the month I saw Strand of Oaks at a small venue in Toronto. After the show I was talking to Tim and I asked if they were doing any festivals next year, specifically Bonnaroo. His words were "Yeah, we're definitely doing Bonnaroo". He also said they're playing Osheaga.

Do you mind sharing who else you messaged? Might help subside certain booking agents from getting bombarded by the people who send out emails like that.

Ask the bands directly via social media or at shows instead of bombarding booking agents. The booking agents get annoyed with it.

Surprised you received such an noncommittal response from Spoon. IMHO, not booking them for 2015 would be a real head-scratcher.

I was in Nashville this past week for vacation and I ran into one of the guys in Apache Relay. We had talked a few months before at a show in my hometown for like 20 mins before show and a little after. But when I saw him at the bar you could tell we recognized each other and just said hi and gave a head nod. I regret not asking him about roo now! I didn't even think about it til now.

I sent a DM to Beach House on Twitter asking if they'd be at Bonnaroo next summer on November 17th, and today they responded saying they are 95% sure they were booked, and that they'd "see me there"

wahooo! I saw them in '13... but I was so wiped out during that point of the day that I couldn't even find the energy to move up to a spot where I could actually, physically see them.

That was a hot tent. I spent about 6 consecutive hours in there pressed up against people through The Tallest Man on Earth and Dirty Projectors (both excellent shows) and it ended perfectly as the sun went down and the Beach House light show took over. Top 5 Bonnaroo experience for me.
