I know this is a touchy subject... but I'm going straightedge hardcore for 2015. Fuck... I've done the whole shebang.... my years were 2006, 2007, 2012... I feel like 2015 is my next year for sure. I'm not being preachy but I'm 34 and just need to experience the festival with my total clear mind or else I can't do it... just my age and experience. I think the festival itself will be my high this time. No legal alcohol for me
I say don't feel out of touch if you are like me... I know psychedelic automatism very well and I feel "experiences" are great and wonderful. But just know there is another veteran attending who is going to experience it from a completely sober but fun mind. It's all good.
Haven't heard the term "straightedge hardcore" since the 90s, but this seems to be the time that tons of people I know are deciding to add sobriety to their musical journeys. Good luck and have fun!

I was, relatively speaking, very fucking sober this past Bonnaroo. It's much better for interacting/communicating with people.
