Words can not express the great time I had. It being my first time at the venue and it was magic. Met a ton of very cool people. The Biscuits killed it Saturday. My close second would be The Main Squeeze MJ Tribute. Such a fun weekend. I will most likely be back for PHB in May!
My boy Ryan told me that Disco Biscuits "Slayed". He said Moe. and Papadosio were both also great. He also mentioned Break Science Live as having been great too. I can't make Purple Hatter's or Hulaween (ever), but we'll try to get back over there for either Bear Creek this year or Aura next year.

Break Science was awesome (especially the light show). I think my favorite set was the Main Squeeze's MJ set. Anyone else see the tree house being built up the road from the canoe outpost? I'll try and upload some pics of it later. One day I really need to find scc lol
My first review of his that I read will be for this fest, but he is an awesome guy for sure!
ALL HAIL SCROG!! Short Cut Camp was beyond insane and far and away the best set up I have been a part of/hung out at a fest. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
Set highlights for me:
1. The Mantras - Fucking unreal
2. Tauk Sat night - Best I have ever seen them, they will have a hard time topping themselves with that.
3. The Fritz - I wasn't even going to attend this set were it not for their drunk percussionist stumbling into camp, hanging around for a while and being a good guy. Boys can play!!
4. Stinky Pockets - Went to check them out for a few on friend's recommendation and was hooked
5. Main Squeeze - Both sets. Slayed original and MJ
Incredible festival and an even more incredible venue! Disco Biscuits changed my life!! Consider the Source make me want to quit playing music! So talented. Was nice meeting you Scrog. I will never ever miss out on Aura! The size is perfect! I met so many amazing people, I never once felt like I was alone at the fest.
Consider the Source make me want to quit playing music!
Yeah, I really wanted to go see them last night for $10 at Freret Sreet Publiq House. But I was unable to get away. I'll be on the lookout for them in the future.
^Great review!! Glad to see the SCC mentioned in there. I agree, if a band stumbles into your camp at night and they are playing the next day, yeah you gotta check them out. The Fritz threw down some funk! Looking forward to having you back down to Sosmp.
While it sucks that there will be some potentially top tier festival competition down south the same weekend next year, I'm still excited and hoping to finally make it to my first Aura in 2016.
It looks like we should be getting a lineup sometime soon.

Well I hope that Okwatanzenwa festival is not hurting their ability to get acts. I don't need steven Tyler I just want a bunch of fun time jam and jazz bands. That is all.
I'm 90% going mostly because of the venue. Only reason I'd trek down to Okeechobee would be for McCartney or something unreal. SOSMP is just too beautiful to pass up with some decent music.
TBCH this is severely lacking in name recognition for me. The only thing that excites me is the biscuits (though that alone may be worth it).
I'll be holding out to see what the okeechobee lineup is, and may wait for a phase 2
There is some real shit there. I've always wanted to see The Heavy Pets in person. Ditto for Disco Biscuits who are at the top of my lists of bands I want to see. Wanted to catch Pink Talking Fish late night Jazzfest weekend but couldn't make it. They are a band led by bass player from jam band Particle. They cover Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish. I watched a couple of youtube sets, and they are better than you might think. Turkuaz is always great. Greenhouse Lounge is probably my favorite Florida band. They were Top 1 for me this year at Pass the Good, and they played a great set with Khris Royal of Rebellution and Dark Matter at Wakarusa. Jen Hartswick and Natalie Cressman are doing the 80s tribute with THP. Even if the setlist ends up being some weak ass Michael Jackson or some shit, you still know those two will be killing it on the horns. ALO was pretty good when I saw them at Hangout a couple of years ago. I got there for the end of the set and wished I had seen more. Haven't seen American Babies or Bright Light Social Hour yet, and I'm not a giant fan of Main Squeeze though their funk sounds good musically. Pretty good start there. I've been wanting to go to Aura, but it's the week before Buku this year, so that's probably doubtful.
