Hey I'm going this year for my first time but I'm gonna be meeting up with my friends there. I want to camp with them but I think we are going to be arriving at different times (I'm coming from NC and theyre in AL). Is it going to be hard to find them if I come a couple hours later? I'm planning on parking and then moving to their campsite for the weekend. Is this a good idea?

If you park your car, you will probably not be able to move it, you will have to carry your stuff to their site. So if that is cool with you then yes that is probably the best way. I know we were totally parked in last year and couldn't leave until Sunday night.

If it is possible, you could meet them somewhere before and drive in together.
This is the best idea. By parking side-byside it would double the amount of space allocated to your group to set up camp. Setting up camp for two vehicles of people (even if you are solo) in the space given to one vehicle won't be easy. My group had 3 cars and 4 people and we didn't exactly have any room to spare - and that's with only 2 tents. You should really try to enter the grounds together if you can.
