I discovered these guys through the lineup in 2013, and their Tent show was my first time seeing them.. almost 2 years later and Tame Impala has become my favorite modern-day band. Now, with frontman Kevin Parker hinting at a new album in spring 2015, Impala has a solid chance at playing on the farm once again. Parker's other explorations, Pond and Melody's Echo Chamber, have also both announced new albums for early next year. Perhaps we'll be seeing more than a few psych rock bands in June.
Longshot: Psychedelic Superjam with Kevin Parker, Melody Prochet, and special guests (various members from Pond & Tame Impala)
Kevin Parker wasn't involved in the recording of Melody Prochet's new album and from what I've heard it sounds like they were in a relationship that ended some time ago, so I doubt we would see them perform together. That said, I'd love it if both Tame Impala and Melody's Echo Chamber played Bonnaroo next year.

I'm aware, she said her new single was her first work purely on her own. Although they broke up, they've appeared together in several social media photos dated after their breakup.
Also, Kevin has talked about their new, interactive light show. A ton of videos of their more recent shows have surfaced... it's grown into quite the insane stage show (best at 1:45):
Improved projections, added array of stand lights in the back, and floods in between the musicians.

I have yet to see Pond live, but my friends saw them in boston and said they loved the hell out of it. They seem to have a lot of fun when playing/jammin

I saw them in NYC a couple weeks ago. Their lights are incredible. The "interactive" aspect is that they have one type of projection that is synced with their playing. It's awesome. Hence why they'd only really be good for late night. Similar to FLips this year.

If this new album garners enough attention/success, the Flips spot would be perfect for Tame

Agreed, if the new album can mirror what Lonerism did for them, in terms of popularity, they might be able to pull off the FLips spot, otherwise, they will probably get a really packed LN tent or they could take Zedd's spot from last year. They will kill it no matter what and they'd obviously be best in a LN slot but it would be insanely packed if they got a tent again.
This would be my ideal late night scenario. Both would be so perfect for Roo late night and Portugal. The Man has enough material to play their set to sunrise.

My favorite group along with Black Moth Super Rainbow. When they played Roo 13, this was one of my top acts I wanted to see. I think its time they come back, and they will probably be a late night act or early evening before a headliner depending on the hype of their new album, which I hear is more electronic based..
I would love to see them at bonnaroo! I've been trying to see them since 2013. They got rained out at ACL that year when I was supposed to see them and they've never played NOLA. Fingers crossed.

That funk at 2:40 is what I think their new stuff is going to sound like, which I am excited for.
Also... Temples is great and all but Impala is 20x better.
A Psychedelic Rock Superjam lead by Kevin Parker and Wayne Coyne with Tame Impala/Pond and Temples featuring John Gourley and Jim James as guests is something I could get behind
