So this poll is a little different, check it out:
The poll is split into three segments: Headliner/Visual Performance; Rock Group; Old Man/Jam Band. Each segment has 5 choices and are indicated by different case size. Choose one from each section to create this years Headliners!!
is what I went with. But I'd be just as happy with
Prince - Tool - Neil Young
I thought NY was out tho? (I haven't kept up with the dumpster fire thread this year because of school though. So I'm more than likely making shit up.)
its well rounded and ,following the rules of the OP, as close to heaven as I can get. Though I must say that it wouldn't be a stretch for them to book the Rolling Stones and Neil Young in the same year (mirroring 2013 with McCartney on Friday and Petty closing on Sunday)
I am surprised so many people would rather see Prince than Daft Punk
They'd both be amazing, but Prince is a legend and he does shows still. Daft punk would be great, but the only reason people are really dying to see them is because it's rare, not because their shows/catalogue are epic. Any talented DJ with an amazing light setup could go out there and play a party set at a festival that has all of DP's best stuff and it would be quite a party, but only Prince can come rock your mind with a 4 hour set if he so desires to do so with tons of guests and even his classics are reworked in ways that make them sound new. (This is coming from a 20 year old that isn't a fanatic of neither DP nor Prince, just to be clear that there is no bias)
