Don't like her. Don't like her music. I think she is only famous because her father is a multimillionaire and bought her a career. If she's there I will stay far away.

Looking like a young Julia Roberts/Priscilla Presley probably helps the being famous part.
Shes clearly had some plastic surgery (at least to her lips) that her dad bought her along with some publicists and marketers to put together her whole "vintage" look.
That just looks like makeup and maybe a little sharpening from maturity.

Well poop, you edited to remove the photos
Yeah, I decided I am really not comfortable starting a discussion ridiculing a woman's looks. But the fact that most of the conversation when it comes to her is about looks over substance, should really tell you all you need to know.

Wow. I had no clue there was this much Lana hate out there. I like her music & really enjoyed her set at ACL. I'd be all for seeing her again.
Edit: I'm pretty disappointed at the lack of OH dates on there... Fingers crossed she'll add more?
You enjoyed her at ACL? We must have been at two different shows... She was off key, sang like 5 songs, got off stage and signed autographs, took selfies and smoked most of her set.

I think she's much more likely for Sasquatch and Governors Ball than she is for Bonnaroo. Looking at her touring schedule, Sasquatch and Governors Ball fall within 5-day and 6-day breaks in her schedule, respectively. June 12th is the only day of Bonnaroo she isn't booked for anything. Additionally, Bristow, VA (outside of DC) is not especially close to Manchester, TN, and a route of Bristow, VA > Manchester, TN > Charlotte, NC > Atlanta, GA involves some backtracking.

I actually really enjoy her recorded music. But I've heard nothing but bad reviews from friends who have seen her. So I'll prob not go out of the way to see her.

I'd say that is an exaggeration. She definitely wasn't off key, she always goes into the crowd like that for her fans & it didn't last that long, her smoking on stage just strengthened my girl crush on her (and is also something she always does), and she played more than five songs. I did enjoy her set. I thought she sounded great. She was a bit low energy I guess, but her music isn't exactly the most upbeat. She was a great, relaxing, afternoon/evening set. Maybe you were at weekend 1?

Weekend two and I was exaggerating on the five songs. Idk, she didn't sound good to me at all. I liked her before I saw her live, have all her albums. It wasn't a good show, IMO, but you know what the say about opinions...

That's probably a good realization, but it's not really her fault she's an attractive person.
FTR I've heard like one lana del rey song and was pretty meh on it, I've never seen her live.

I am not saying she isn't attractive (she totally is).
I just think she is inauthentic, her whole look and style was manufactured to sell records and appeal to a specific demographic, and talent wise she is pretty horrible. I think she only got to where she is because of nepotism.
Plus she is one of those people who purposely do and say stupid/controversial things to get attention; like dressing up as a native america and latino gangster in music videos, and that whole interview with the Guardian about Kurt Cobain. If she was talented I could overlook that part, but she just isn't.

Do the stupid fucking Mumford and Sons need to dress like they're inventing the cotton gin? No. There are tons of artist who dress to fit in with the genre or to sell records but 90% of the time this discussion happens, it involves a female artist.

That's a stretch; and it has nothing to do with her being a woman.
If Marcus Mumford's father was a mutlimillionaire, the band put out a debut album under a different name and it tanked; so they then bought the rights to that album, pulled it from the shelves and online, and then came back a few years later with a different name and started dressing like they do now; that would be a more appropriate comparison.
Also, if the band was completley untalented. Like Mumford and Sons or don't (I actually don't), but you can at least see they are talented, even if they aren't your cup of coffee. Lana has no talent. Literally anyone can do what she does.

Wow, so many haters in here. I'm a huge fan and I saw her show in Detroit last May, and babe killed it. I had my doubts because I'd heard that she wasn't as good live as in the studio, but I never once thought she sounded off or bad in general, and I was in the bloody balcony. Plus, Ultraviolence was one of the best (selling and, IMO quality-wise) records of 2014 so I'm gonna be so stoked if she's at the farm.
So many people are like "wah, her daddy's a millionaire and wah, she had her lips done and wah, controversial and wah, she's beautiful and wah, wah, wah, etc." If you genuinely don't like her music, that's a legitimate concern, as her style isn't for everyone. But people are soooo hateful towards her and I just don't get it. I'm obviously biased being a huge fan, but I really enjoy her music. She's putting a style of music out that I've not heard from other artists. Her sultry voice, dark and sexy lyrics, the way she sings and performs- I love the whole package. I even got to meet her after the Detroit show last May and she is beyond a total sweetheart, it really made me love her even more. I hope she's at Bonnaroo!
2014:
April 05 - Twenty One Pilots
May 15 - Lana Del Rey
May 30 - Why?
June 12-15 - Roo '14
June 24 - Arctic Monkeys
September 05 - Twenty One Pilots
September 23 - Lorde
September 26 - Why?
She's really not nearly as bad as some people make her out to be. I can't comment on her live, but her first record had its moments. Most of the furor over LDR seems to center on this absolutely ridiculous "authenticity" argument, which is beyond stupid. Many worse acts have played Bonnaroo in the past, and I'm sure worse ones will play this year.

Amy Winehouse had the same schtick 10 years ago. No hate at all. I hope she plays and you have a great time. Personally, I think she is untalented and the product of nepotism. But I'm just some dude on the internet, you shouldn't care what I have to say and form your own opinion.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
