My group discussed today, and we might try to camp for a good spot on Thursday for their set. Can't imagine they would play another day.
Doubt you will have to camp very long ZZ Ward spot from last year in my opinion.
I would imagine they would get a slot similar to Alt J two years ago or Sleigh Bells in 2011... Either way, if they do play Thursday; that set is going to be horribly crowded.

Really no idea they were that "big" already. And everything is horribly crowded on Thursday.

seeing them live was like a nerdy, kinda weirdly sexy, robot dance party.
Was it really super girly screams? I just saw your snaps and am worried. They had just started getting attention here when I saw them & they were the first of 4 bands who played and the crowd was small and not very into it. I don't want to hear a bunch of screaming girls. Ugh.

it wasn't terrible, but I don't think I've experienced a show like that in a while. it was like I was at a boy band concert - the girls were going NUTS. but for the most part during songs they were fairly calm. I've seen way more obnoxious crowds.
overall though, the show was a BLAST. they've improved their stage presence infinitely since I saw them last fall. they were jamming out a bit too. definitely pumped to see them again in a week! actually, during their show I realized that in exactly one week, same time, I would be seeing them again

I saw you snaps and was wondering what was going on with the screaming girls. Not worried enough to detour me from seeing them Monday before I leave! I am very excited still.

no definitely don't let it keep you from seeing them!! it was honestly more comical than annoying - considering how dorky all of the band members are. haha their performance was worth putting up with the screaming girls.
Bumping this bc I'm so excited.... Glass Animals surprised announced a show here for next month and the venue only holds 800 people! It sold out in under a minute and we got tickets! Yay!
Last time I saw them was LN Which at Roo and the crowd was so big it went all the way back to the Brooer's Tent. So going from that to a tiny 800 person venue is going to be amazing.

I was in the pit for that set, they were absolutely killing it up there the whole time.

I started coming up and had to leave the crowd like 3 songs in. Watched most of it from the Brooer's Tent bc I needed space to lie down in all my rolly goodness. But I've seen them enough times that I was perfectly happy with that decision. Other Soopergroopers got pretty deep in the crowd tho and said it was amazing.
We also saw their show in Sydney when we were down there on vacation. That was so much fun, it was in a small venue with just a few hundred people. There's kind of a different energy when you're at a show in another country too, that was such a blast.
They played a few new songs from their upcoming album. It was tough for me to really get a gauge on them just hearing them live instead of recorded, but it did feel like they were going in a slightly more funky and electronic direction than they have before. I liked it a lot!
