My suspicions about kdogg & jfg are based on both of them voting for viking. Without a runoff Viking is dead. If I read the rules right mafia gets a whack, that person is dead regardless. It's in the mafia's best interest to instigate the townie's into murdering one of their own that way 2 townies are killed off. Kdogg's vote for viking was a tit-for-tat (on the surface) but jfg108 your vote for viking raises my suspicion. BUT But you voted for viking before kdogg did. I'm wondering now if all 3 of you are mafia and this is the strategy.
That would be a helluva bold/insane strategy for all three mafia to draw attention to themselves like that in the first round. I'd like to think we have at least one in this mix, but maybe I'm just being optimistic.
A lot of what ifs and unknowns right now. The only thing I'm sure of is, if Kdogg received a PM from Jimmy then that means that Kdogg has a power role in this game. I predict that Kdogg will not make it to the 2nd day alive. Either we vote him off in a runoff because enough of us believes hes mafia (probability being 75%) or mafia whacks him because they know he is inspector. Either way it deals a serious blow to either the town or mafia.
Also, the fact that Kdogg voted for viking really is a moot point.
1. Forgot I signed up until I got a Facebook message urging me to log in about 45 minutes ago.
2. When I logged in... Jimmy, all I have from you in my inbox is a message with game rules copied & pasted. What's my role?
3. I'm leaving for the Monday Night Football game up in Green Bay in a half hour & won't be around tonight. Go Packers.
4. kdogg >>> Viking I know nothing, so might as well reciprocate.
If I'm reading this right, Kdogg voted for viking before he knew his role. Which means he simply just reciprocated his vote, as he stated. So I think Monkeybunnys theory doesn't make sense.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

kdogg's 2nd point is "redacted" from what I can see. Even with what you've quoted I fail to see how my theory isn't plausible. ... Why can't anybody spell my name right!

1. We only had, what, SEVENTY-SOME GAMES BEFORE THIS where all players received a PM notifying them of their role... ...and I'm somehow the bad guy for not knowing it had changed? With that track record? C'mon, guys. You know better than this.
2. Here's what happened:
I forgot I had signed up to play however long ago. This afternoon, a fellow Inforooster messaged me on Facebook - AS WELL AS ANOTHER PLAYER - on behalf of Jimmyroo, telling us to log in for Mafia purposes. This can not only be confirmed by Jimmy, but also the fellow player in this game who received the same group message and/or the fellow user who messaged upon Jimmy's behalf. I wasn't the only slacker here. The Referee and at least one of the rest of you knows this. I won't give full disclosure now, but I reserve the right to if nobody's going to admit it themselves.
I was scrambling to finish my errands for the day, because I had plans to attend the Packer game tonight. I was actually at my storage locker across town (my hiding spot for the little guy's Christmas presents) when I received the Facebook message, and logged into Inforoo from my mobile while I was there. I went to the thread, saw what the votes were, and made my four-point post from there before moving onto my last pre-game errand. I skimmed through Jimmy's second post in the thread because it seemed to have lost any importance once I saw a tally with zero votes in it.
So yeah, I missed the memo on Jimmyroo's sudden change of operating procedure the first time around. This sure as hell is not the same thing as being Mafia. And yes, I voted for the player who voted for me first. That's just basic strategy.
I made reference to a PM I received from Jimmyroo. The message to which I refer has a title of "Rules" and was dated November 11th. That PM included what turned out to be rules for this game, but no content like what the Ref Notes section of Post #2 here says. Besides, that's almost a month ago, so its relevance to what the Town SHOULD be discussing is of dubious legitimacy. I understand that, as Referee, Jimmy has to be mysterious/ambiguous/protective in regards to player roles and such... but I would appreciate if he can confirm that he did send an unrelated message as I described above. The date and content of that particular message should render it irrelevant to what us Townspeople SHOULD be discussing here.
3. Mafia identity is fair game for discussion.
Look at how it's being done here. Is it just me, or is there some skewed logic afoot?
Particularly, comments that I've got a 75% chance of being Mafia. It's Day One, when MOST OF US are still feeling around, and - in actuality - each one of us has a 3-in-11 chance of being Mafia. NOT a 3-in-4 chance. So much certainty so early? Seems to me like someone's acting on an agenda.
Long story short, I made an honest mistake. Making an honest mistake does not make me Mafia. Just human.
If someone wants to cross-examine me on this, I'd be welcome to have at it. Hell, I already told you in this post I have my witness list ready to go.

Jazmo, if you're going to send me to kangaroo court on trumped-up charges over this, let the prosecution begin.
This round will be extended until 10pm EST tonight (hard deadline).
Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
Is it true that you sought a third party's assistance in notifying myself and another player to log in for game purposes? Is it true that you sent me a PM entitled "Rules" on November 11th containing text of game rules?
And as long as I've got you under oath, why can't you just Facebook friend me yourself?
billybaroo, I've only been mafia 2 times. The two times I've been mafia, the Ref will send a single PM to all three mafia members and say something to the effect of "Player X, Y, & Z you are mafia, feel free to use this thread to talk amongst yourselves." Not sure if thats how Jimmy did it, but when I was mafia thats how it was done. From my experience as mafia, you start to communicate with each other as soon as the roles are sent out.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
But what if the email he had really was just a rules thing from like a month ago...? That's still a possibility, right?
Fawn emailed me something about rules a while back because of the referendum. So maybe he really did just screw up?
Message I'm talking about is dated November 11th. This game didn't even have a complete roster signed up until the month of December.
I'm disappointed the Referee can't just say "yes, I did email this player that message on this pre-game date," because I would say that falls outside of the scope of this game. The one has nothing to do with the other.
I'm actually debating whether or not this is something I can share within the rules. I'm leaning "yes," because it has absolutely nothing to do with this game. Dr. Joe, can you just confirm what I'm saying before I become a bigger pain in your ass about this?
I would also like to add that I am disappointed to see such blatant, open discussion of the Inspector role here.
I don't know so much about Billybaroo, but I know Jazmo's been around enough to know better than that.
It's a good thing I'm not the actual Inspector in this game, because if I were, you two would be painting a bright red target on my back the way you're going about it.
It's reckless at best, and sinister at worst, and I hope my fellow players can agree with me on this.
There's ways to discus Inspector that are more subtle & discrete than grabbing a bullhorn & publicly announcing "HEY THIS PLAYER IS INSPECTOR!" to put them on the Mafia whack radar.
As far as your claim that this is exclusively MY mistake... I think the fact that our Referee disregarded six dozen games of precedence should be considered a contributing factor.
Hate to say it, but I think we're going to have to add a "JimmyRule" to specify that informing all eleven players of their role is a basic part of the Referee duties. (cc: fawnmart on this.)
There already is a rule for this; it is named 'Rule #1'.
1) The Referee randomly chooses from the 11 players three Mafiosi and one Inspector. The remaining 7 players are Townspeople. Each player is informed of their role via PM,

I won't boot you from the game for posting a message I sent to you on November 11. Have at it, hoss.
You were the only person to make a post though about it though. Everyone else who was a townie either noticed the ref's note, or sent him a PM like I did.
I am also one of two players who received a Facebook warning to log in for the game. I received this message 30-45 minutes before I was set to drive three hours to Green Bay for the Monday Night Football game. On short notice with no assurance of a PM being answered in that timeframe, I basically had to post before I left or miss the deadline.
All players were tagged in this thread by me (1) at the start of the thread and (2) with the first tally. Everyone had a notification that the game began.
With respect to KDogg and Hakuna, I had them contacted because at the end of Sunday I saw that neither of them had posted on Inforoo at all for multiple days. That's all I have to say about them being contacted via Facebook about the game beginning. Just trying to avoid a game with two absentee players.
Whether KDogg is telling the truth about receiving a PM from me re: mafia/inspector/whatever is for the town to decide and not something that I will comment on further.
If anyone thinks this game should be re-started I have no problem with an appeal to fawnmart. I won't be offended by the request or the decision in either event.
Do I think I have a better idea of Kdogg's role now? Yes. Do I feel that the game is screwed and we need to restart? Not really as people are differing on what his role is. I'm not against restarting if that is the decision.

Jazmo, if you're going to send me to kangaroo court on trumped-up charges over this, let the prosecution begin.
For clarification, my belief that you are either Mafia or inspector has absolutely nothing to do with any "mistake" you've made. It is based off the assumption than A.) you received an initial PM at the beginning of the game (you have since clarified that this PM came on November 11th), and B.) PMs only went to Mafia and the inspector. And since three out of the four PMs went to Mafia, that's where I'm getting the 75% from.
Now, my thoughts concerning this November 11th thing: there was indeed Mafia discussion going on on the 11th (also the time of your last posting - assuming you haven't deleted posts), so it makes sense that you received such a message from jimmyroo on the 11th. HOWEVER, this doesn't completely exonerate you. You could have very well received that message AND a start-of-game PM from him, so posting a screenshot of the November 11th message doesn't really tell us too much - I could easily see that being a cover-up.
So, I think that either you're definitely Mafia or inspector and trying to cover it up (and if you're inspector...sorry everyone), or this is all just a misunderstanding and you're just a townie. And the reason I'm still comfortable talking about this out in the open if you're inspector is because the Mafia would absolutely be having this same conversation the moment you posted about receiving a PM, so me taking the convo into the thread wouldn't put the spotlight on your more than it already was.
I'm not asking everyone to accept that there's zero chance I received a role PM. However, I am glad to see Jimmy confirm the existence/date of the message cited in my moment of confusion. I'm not asking for total exoneration, just the same reasonable doubt which should be afforded to each and every player.
Seems to me that you're working against that more than anyone. I have plausible reasons for what I said was an honest mistake, which seems to be a possibility you're refusing to concede even exists. I've got the same 3-in-11 chance of being Mafia as anyone here, and you're so certain otherwise that you're proclaiming I'm 75% likely to be Mafia?
You're skewing things with your blinders on here, and we should all know this because we all know this game got up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe because you're one of the bad guys with an agenda? Maybe because you're one of the good guys refusing to do their due diligence? Neither of those are beneficial to the Townspeople as a whole.

Bonus question: remind me how swearing up and down that I was Mafia from early stages in the last game we played together turned out?

You mean the game where you lynched yourself in the first round then continued to post throughout the rest of the game? Let's hope this round is better than that.
Just needed to put my initial somewhere, Tejas voted me You voted tejas You didn't have any votes and I wasn't going to stack tejas, so just complete the triangle.
Also I'll chime in, as most of you Prob figured I was the other half of the facebook PM. Not that it matters, but i just hadn't counted on the game starting Sunday and had yet to hop online Monday.
But if the validity of that story is being questioned, I can vouch for it.
