I'm not asking everyone to accept that there's zero chance I received a role PM. However, I am glad to see Jimmy confirm the existence/date of the message cited in my moment of confusion. I'm not asking for total exoneration, just the same reasonable doubt which should be afforded to each and every player.
Seems to me that you're working against that more than anyone. I have plausible reasons for what I said was an honest mistake, which seems to be a possibility you're refusing to concede even exists. I've got the same 3-in-11 chance of being Mafia as anyone here, and you're so certain otherwise that you're proclaiming I'm 75% likely to be Mafia?
You're skewing things with your blinders on here, and we should all know this because we all know this game got up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe because you're one of the bad guys with an agenda? Maybe because you're one of the good guys refusing to do their due diligence? Neither of those are beneficial to the Townspeople as a whole.
kdogg >>> Jazmo
Bonus question: remind me how swearing up and down that I was Mafia from early stages in the last game we played together turned out?
I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that I'm skewing things with blinders on - I absolutely gave credit to other possible scenarios in my last post, especially because you're reasoning since the last time I posted seem rather sound. I said in the beginning of my last post that my reasoning is based off of assumptions, then in the second paragraph I gave credit to the plausibility of your explanation (while offering a rebuttal simply because it's my job to examine all scenarios), and then in the last paragraph I pointed out that it's very possible that I'm wrong and you're just a townie. I never said that I was certain of anything - that's billybaroo you're thinking of - and I'm not sure why you're trying to paint what I'm saying in such a definitive light. There's big grey area here, and I'm trying to offer up all possible explanations as I see it.
I'm not at all certain that you're Mafia - please don't try to make it look as if I'm saying anything otherwise. However, at this point in the game you're the only one I have any suspicion of, so I'm not going to go and change my vote for no reason whatsoever.
Couple reasons. 1. Expand runoff to 4. 2. Since a major storyline has been Kdogg's messages, why not put the one who pointed it out and started the charge of saying Kdogg has a higher % chance of being mafia into the runoff with him.
Nothing jumped out at me from anyone of the other players on 1 vote.
Just needed to put my initial somewhere, Tejas voted me You voted tejas You didn't have any votes and I wasn't going to stack tejas, so just complete the triangle.
I was talking to KDogg; I was curious why he was quoting your post, or if that meant he was also voting for me. Unexplained votes are not his M.O., especially not after a KDoggian-length post like that. It all seemed rather cryptic.
Also I'll chime in, as most of you Prob figured I was the other half of the facebook PM. Not that it matters, but i just hadn't counted on the game starting Sunday and had yet to hop online Monday.
But if the validity of that story is being questioned, I can vouch for it.
Yes. My reasoning is that either kdogg breezed through his message and missed what role he has, or (less likely) jimmy meant to message his role but accidentally just sent the rules. Given that the pms only went to mafia and inspector, I'm thinking that there's a 3/4 chance that kdogg is mafia (assuming that one of the above scenarios is true).
I understand that there is a 3/4 chance that kdogg is mafia but do mafia talk to each other by now? That is my reasoning for him being inspector. I didn't get a PM and waited for a few hours and then sent Jimmyroo a PM because I didn't get anything in my inbox and didn't see his note so I'm very confident that kdogg is mafia or inspector.
This is the post I was referring to, but turns out you said "very confident", not "certain". My bad.
I really would like to hear from other people and hear about other scenarios not involving KDogg as well.

a post that was made 25 minutes ago is why you made a post 11 hours ago? C'mon, man, you can do better than that.
This post is why I quoted that vote. I'm off to work now.

Not to put words in his mouth, but since he seems to be gone for a while and there doesn't seem to be a need for even more confusion.
He quoted my original quote saying "sorry, I'm here" What he was getting at was that I was the other person to receive a message saying the game started, on FB. Not sure why he was so cryptic or was just waiting for me to chime in or what.
I was a little confused, I saw that I had been quoted, and your "extrapolate?" Post was the first thing I saw. Wasn't thinking and I just assumed that's what I was tagged in.
I also feel less confident in kdogg being one of the 4 key roles now than I do earlier.
Me too. I'm actually on the fence with it now. My main problems are 1) he deleted his post. That's a big no-no and that makes me raise an eyebrow 2) he isn't making much sense 3) he is ultra defensive (although if I was him and a townie I would be reacting quite similarly... Except for deleting a post and not making sense)
I am glad we will have a runoff with him in it. Lots of Intel coming in, and that's always better for the town
My initial reaction to Kdogg's post was that he is town as he said no pm received. I know he plays a large part in rules discussions so it made sense to me.
Ftr, kdogg, if it is brought to my attention that you continue to edit posts I will be forced to remove you from the game. I'm sure it won't come to that.
The current commissioner is playing so the retired one will weigh in.
The referee did not adhere to the game rules and by failing to do so may have affected the outcome of the game.
The last time this happened the game was restarted to ensure actions of or taken by the ref did not influence the game. That is THE most important role of the ref. Do not influence the outcome of the game by any of his/her actions.
It's your collective call. If you do not opt to restart the game, there will be no bitching when its over if the results were affected.

Don't mean to be coming across as busting your chops Jimmy, but you'll need to cite the rule that the player is violating when threatening to remove a player from the game.

Carry on.
You should just make a call
So Be it.
Restart the game and send each player a role PM please.
I think that as it stands, KDogg's status is ambiguous enough that it could go either way regarding whether or not he's Mafia. He's made a strong argument for why he's not. So from that perspective, I don't think a restart is necessary.
However, I think that at this point either the town is going to vote him off because they think he's Mafia, and if not, the Mafia might whack him because they think he's inspector. He could survive the round completely, but in all honesty I think the cards are stacked against him, and this would not be the case if all players were PMed at the beginning of the game. I don't demand a restart because I don't think either town nor Mafia has gained a clear-cut advantage from the situation, but I would vote for a restart simply because I think it sucks for KDogg and because the ref did indeed influence the outcome of the game.
I always lurk in the mafia games because the logic behind gameplay is always so confusing to me. And this was so difficult to follow. I'm glad you're restarting. Fawnmart made the right call. What a messy day 1/runoff whatever.
Proposed amendment to the KDogg rule: no discussion of PMs, ever. This isn't the first time this has proved problematic; I remember one game where KDogg used a typo in a PM (townsperon) to prove his innocence. It spoils the game for everyone, just to get to the end result quickest. That's not what Mafia is about.
If you think there is an issue with your PM (or lack of PM), it should only be discussed with the ref, via PM.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
