Me and my friends are forming a caravan of about 3 minivans right now to leave Long Island, and pick up a few people in Jersey on the way. We usually have plenty of room, and I think we might be getting another van or two.
So if anyone needs a ride down from here, or wants to join the parade down to Tennesse hit me up and we'll work something out.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I'm guessing you're taking 78 to 81? Weather permitting, I'll be riding my bike down. If the weather's going to be a complete piece of shite, I'll have to take my SUV instead. Either way, I'll be taking basically the same route, but splitting off in NC to meet up with my VIP buddy. I'll be leaving roughly the same time (5-ish on tuesday, 6/12), so we should definitely hook up. Keep me posted!
I live in Boston but I might be in NY around the time you all are heading down. I would love to join in if possible, currently I am still figuring out how I'll be getting there. Email me and we can discuss further: deleonrex@hotmail.com

I'd be leaving from Huntington Village, NY and stoping at Metuchen, NJ. Last year we had no directions and just followed the map the whole way, so I don't remember exactly how we got there. It was a lot of small creepy roads.

hahaha i dont know if im going yet cause of money issues....but Metuchen, NJ is literally the next town over from me...i live in Iselin (part of Woodbridge)
Would it be possible to be picked up from philly? or is that too far away?
they could take the nj turnpike to exit 4, follow rt.70 to the ben franklin bridge, cross into philly, and then take the pa turnpike to harrisburg and then get on 81 south and ride that for about 9 hours till you hit tennesee.
Ha, I understand that it is entirely possible to go to Philly, but i mean, i don't know if it would throw off their route/plans, if it would be a hassle and out of the way just to pick up me, or if it could be easily arranged and done along the way, thats what i ment. If they are willing to, i what i'd like to know, also is this just kind of a pick up and drop off thing or do you guys plan on hanging out together during the festival, cause this'll be my first and i really doubt any of my freinds would want to or even be able to go

I'm a roo virgin as well and going solo and hoping to stay in tent-only w/ other camp inforooers. Maybe you should do the same. Everyone here seems so welcoming and friendly I don't think you'll have a hard time adjusting...I hope!
Anyway, I wanted to know are you like from downtown philly or more the suburbs. I was just in Chestnut Hill last weekend w/ my sister and bro-in-law and it only took like 2 hours. Worse comes to worst and if you have the money, you could fly down to nashville a day or two earlier (like I'm doing).
Wow, didn't expect this much of a response. Well the first van is packed with us already, 6 people. I'm waiting for everyone else to confirm their tickets and situations before I can have any extra open spots. But seeing as there's a lot of people here from the area, maybe we should organize a caravan for everyone in the area.
So there's basically 2 senerios,
Those without any transportation, no car, truck van... Those with transportation but does not want to drive alone, pay for expenses alone.
So who here needs transportation, but can help by driving and paying for gas, and who here has transportation available but need company?
And for the virgins, it is almost a must to go with people, whether complete internet strangers or friends. The road trip experience, sharing the stories at the end of the night at the camp site, everyone cooking something for a big breakfast, lunch, its a social event.
I'd have to say i'd fit into the first category. I hoping to meet people on here to make the roadtrip down(and back) and hang out with during the festival, i wasn't planning on soloing the experience.
Oh and Lazylover, i'm from Upper Darby/Drexel Hill area

Any way you could pick me up in New Jersey? I'm an easy-going, 27 year old female who loves to have a good time. I went to Bonnaroo in "05. Unfortunately my best friend busted her knee and just had surgery so I'm tyring to find some cool people to go with. I can best be reached at: lauracannito@hotmail.com
We're taking a van down from the Canadian east coast, and we'll be pulling into NYC Tuesday evening. We're probably hitting a show and hanging out for a bit, before heading west Wednesday morning.
So if anyone still needs a ride, you can contact me at let.down.hanging.around@gmail.com, and we may be able to meet up before we take off west towards roo.
im from the south jersey area but am more than willing to meet up in metuchen. ive got friends there and what not. my ride situation is still up in the air. went to roo last year, fucking awesomeeee. im really laid back and am more then willing to throw up food and gas money. ps- i have tom tom haha. so no need for getting lost!
