Now that I have been schooled so roundly, let me amend:
1. I have no thoughts on the whack; I see now it was stupid to think there maybe something there to dig out.
2. I don't absolutely believe anyone either - but given evidence I can make the distinction between less and more likely to be truth or fiction. Still gotta go with a guess in the end.
And yeah, I did mis-type who you were voting for (munky v. Kdogg) and I thank you for catching it so as not to confuse other readers. I meant to say you repeatedly stated your belief that munky was mafia and based on that your round three vote seemed odd . That was my bad and I can see why it would serve to weaken the rest of the points I made. I'll have to live with it, and hope the underlying facts mean something to others as well, rather than an admitted typo.
3. Seeing that the few times I have explained that I don't understand something and it might due to me not having the requisite level of games under my belt to have experienced something in the past - well, it has you really riled up.
I muse on the number of times you have mentioned your level of experience as a reason for the way you act. Quite a few, actually.
Oh the tangled webs we weave. So you say you have thoughts one post ago, then you say you have none whatsoever. I explain my thoughts, and you say they are not good enough, but then have no thoughts of your own? I never said it was stupid to dig into it, but if you are going to dig, dig. Explain yourself if you expect it of others.
If you did mistype, you mistyped the same thing 3 posts in a row without going back to check. Thats more times than I said I suspected Monky. Again, it is plausible but not the most probable answer.
And as for being riled up, you have not seen riled yet. I am just able to be at my home office today due to the holiday and have inforoo up. Call it a Christmas miracle for you and my family. And I brought up my experience after you mentioned it. But if the muse is striking you, please, by all means enlighten all of us. Put your thoughts all out there buddy. I really want to see them. You play your cards and I'll play mine. I'm waiting with baited breath and sharpened knives....
Carini/ all - while i I do not encourage it, i also do not get my knickers in a knot if a player likes PHi's post voting for Eap - or liking the post comparing Viking to the hair club dude, or liking the post where the ref asks someone to post a tally. It is not pertinent to the game. Anything even close to affecting game play and you will hear from me if i see it.
WLViking - I know you darling and i know 4 more hours is plenty of time for you to take JFG out behind the wood shed. Gim him an extra whack for me for game 72?
JFG - oh the stories... if you want to see the definition of intense - go back and reread games with WlViking, especially he And Kdogg.
LEts get this into the runoff tonight assuming you will all stay with a run off. Then please I would like to hear from you all on the schedule for the run off or next day whichever it may be. I propose - you may still post all you want but the clock will stop tomorrow xmas eve at noon EST and will not restart any time sooner than Friday at 9 am. What say you? Post or PM - either is fine.

Damnit were running out of time and I'm slow as hell at putting posts together with lots of quotes. fawnmart I know you didn't want to do this but maybe an extension is in order. I understand if not. This might get me killed but I have my reasons & suspicions and I'll post them. I think viking needs to get dragged into this runoff.

monkybunney>>tejas>>WLViking
Oh this should be classic. I would love to hear this one.
God, I missed all of that. Sorry guys. Work got a bit insane. I will be around more the next few days. But dont expect the Viking of old camping and volleying back and forth.
Viking >>> Hakuna
Hakuna had 1 post that I can find up to this point but
Given the choices, I definitely think we want a three person runoff. I don't think a 4 person runoff would help us much at this point. My personal opinion is that it should be Jaz, Surf and carini.
It pains me to leave Hakuna out because he is a good liar[\b], but we have nothing to go on and would be better served seeing more cards before looking his way.
Carini because he was the 4th one put into the pot. Almost immediately later Kdogg added a vote on Jaz. I agree with the vote on Jaz due to suspicion, but if the mafia were nervous about 2 members already being in the mix, they would want a 5th, and Jaz had a big target on his back.
Thats why I think the runoff should be Jaz, Surf and Carini.
So:
Viking >>> Hakuna >>> Carini
Jas IMO had the biggest target in his back at this point. This could have been a gamble on your part putting you vote on Carini knowing that Jaz would likely get lynched. Jaz through a wrench in that by revealing he was inspector and Carini was mafia.
1. Good point but mute. Sleepy was after KDOGG all game. He didn't move around at all. KDogg is dead how so we either got a mafia member or we didn't. Either way, sleepy leads us no where.
I'm not so sure this interaction with Kdogg really unsettles me in light of the above
Did some backtracking trying to get a better hang of what's going on here. After doing so, I have a question for Sleepy:
Back in the initial vote, there was a point when it was Surf leading with two votes and everyone (except JFG) tied at one. You & I were reciprocating votes for one another, and I suggested we break the stalemate to even create a runoff.
I suggested that we each switch to a player who was voting for Surf, which was Jazmo & Munky at the time. You switched to Tejas in the initial round instead. I then switched to Jazmo.
Now for the part that's confusing me... After declining the initial offer, you switched to Jazmo in the runoff instead. What gives? You reversed yourself as to whether that situation was worthy of our switches from the initial vote to this runoff.
I can think of a reason, but I want to hear what you have to say about it. I'm kinda thinking I got played there.
kdogg >> null
This is what was bothering me when I made my original post. Sleepy was the one I had questions about. (You were the other but I have learned it is the way you play at times) You articulated exactly my issue. There is one other post he made that bothered me a bit, but I am running into a meeting and cant find it.
If we are to assume that those voted out so far are mafia:
With a 5 person runoff I'd say good chance of a mafia being involved, right Hakunah?
I was re-reading the thread, and this post stuck out to me. Up until this point Hakuna had only made his one post (the initial vote), and there was no voting or other interaction between the two of you. Why did you direct this question to Hakuna specifically?
Jaz knew Carini was mafia. This post directs attention to Hakunna.
Kdogg's suspicious proposal to sleepy and the whole reason I started suspecting Kdogg in the first place happened in this exchange
I know, and I disagree on that point. Having more people in a runoff is helpful, right up until it isn't. You can't really glean a lot of useful info from a run-off with half the game involved.
You say ten of eleven players receiving votes is troublesome for mafia; speaking from experience I can say that's exactly what mafia wants, because where does that get us? Nowhere, except in a position where one person's vote can affect the outcome of the round. That's why you see the same thing happen on Day 1 in most games... divide and conquer. You learn far more about voting patterns when you put a handful of the most suspicious players in and hope to pick out one mafioso, instead of throwing everyone and anyone in the mix.
Except we're 12 hours before deadline and don't even HAVE a runoff. Can we at least agree that there should be one?
I'll propose this: Surf is set to die because he's the only one with multiple votes. I think there might be something to that situation... or at the very least, deviating from the one-vote-for-everyone norm this round. How about you & I create a runoff here? You vote for one of the players voting for Surf into the runoff, and I'll vote for the other.
I'm open to other suggestions. I'm OK with keeping my vote on you. But I find it irresponsible of the Townspeople to outright kill a player in an initial vote without a runoff.
I've got a weird feeling. You said you threw my name out their as a red herring. While I appreciate that your posts are taking the heat off of me, I can't help but wonder if that doesn't serve a more selfish interest.
I understand why I'm suspicious. It's sort f my mo when I'm actually a townie. I do think jumping behind the inspectors guess at the other mafia that quickly though is really suspicious. Jazmo essentially knew as much as we do know, so I don't understand why his suspicions are more credible then your own opinion. Jazmo has no other knowledge that you couldn't formulate yourself at this current point, so for you to say your following his random guess and stacking is shady as hell and going for an easy kill in my eyes.
Hakuna >> KDogg
The 3rd post is the opening salvo between KDogg and Hakuna. IMO, it is the most damning for 2 reasons. First, it creates the "But look, I voted for KDogg" defense, and allows him to use that.
KDogg jumped right on surf at the start of the 2nd runoff to start momentum that way even though he had been saying Jaz was more suspicious. Then went right along with Jaz and moved to carini.
Monkey had a bunch of weird posts that I'll highlight later and it fits with the mafia splitting on the final vote.
Monky, your post just hurts my head to read. There is so much wrong with it that even this video does not do it justice:
The areas you quote actually are my biggest alibis.
First, you cite my opening vote for Hakuna. How the hell do you even consider that relevant? I don't know many of the players so I voted for someone I knew. It is not some secret plot to kill Hakuna. The lying portion is because he is 1 of two people who have fooled me in this game as a townie. He is a good player. It is easier to tell if someone is mafia if you get them talking. Let me know if I am going too fast for you.
Next, moving to carini and making sure he was added to the next runoff. Are you seriously saying that I knew the inspector would come out and point at him? And if I was mafia, why would I add a mafia member to the final pool and point him out when he was essentially being left alone for the next runoff? I mean, all of this just really hurts my head. When Jaz came out, I was admittedly not too surprised, but I was on carini way before he started telegraphing.
Finally, my vote for KDogg was different. Hakuna votes first, and I stacked. The stack vote is always harder to move without cause. And I clearly stated why I voted for him. In addition, he was the one to add the 5th, so it logically made sense.
BTW, I never cleared your name. You were just the most suspicious Day 2 and not as much compared to others now. This is all pretty basic stuff. Don't people reread threads anymore? Understanding votes, voting patterns and logic is kind of a requisite for this game.

No. Re-Read my post. I think your voting Carini into the runoff was a calculated risk. And a good one. I think it was pretty certain jaz was going to be lynched. It would have been safe for someone mafia to vote Carini into a runoff with 2 other townies because prior to revealing himself Jaz was going to get die. But after he revealed himself it made it super suspicious for anyone to move their vote off of Carini. The more I read over that part of the game the more it becomes obvious Jaz had to out himself and name Carini or else no mafia would have been killed off on day 1.
Finally, my vote for KDogg was different. Hakuna votes first, and I stacked. The stack vote is always harder to move without cause. And I clearly stated why I voted for him. In addition, he was the one to add the 5th, so it logically made sense.

Allowing the extension as two requests were made, the ref was unexpectedly not available at closing time, and a vote change occurred reasonably close to the deadline impacting the outcome of the runoff going into a holiday. Extended until noon tomorrow to give all players a chance to see/read/settle on the runoff.

Monky, I think you need to reread that section again. You are claiming that I am not only a mafia member, but that I supposedly took a "risk" and voted for fellow mafia member. Keep in mind when I voted for him, Carini was not in any danger whatsoever. It was NOT clear Jaz was going to be voted out. We were in the round of 5 people, and I posted then that I did it because it was the most self serving act so he needed to move to the next round. In effect, I got people to look at carini instead of just running towards Jaz and Surf. As a mafia member, if you can slip through Day 1 with all 3 alive, the odds shift strongly in your favor. Plus, Carini could always do the "I was in the runoff" claim. and would generally be given a free pass for a day. It would be exceedingly dumb for me to push him into the runoff. You are looking at the game after 2 more days had past and saying yeah he was going to get lynched but at the time, it was just not the case.
Finally, my vote for KDogg was different. Hakuna votes first, and I stacked. The stack vote is always harder to move without cause. And I clearly stated why I voted for him. In addition, he was the one to add the 5th, so it logically made sense.

I would like to see a runoff with you, me and Hakunna. I ask you this, do you think we've voted off 2 mafia or do you think 1 of them was a townie?
Ok, so on Day 1 I thought the mafia added the 5th because our net had gotten 2 of them out of the 4. If that is true, it is likely that KDogg may have been mafia and added Jaz because he was most suspicious and because it gave them a better chance to slip through. That was the assumption I was operating under Day 1. When Hakuna (who had been silent all game) came out and went at KDogg and KDogg reciprocated, it seemed somewhat contrived to me, and locked in the suspicion.
Now, I am not really sure. I may have been right about the 2 in the runoff but wrong about KDogg, or vice versa (Wrong about 2 in the runoff and right about KDogg). This is why I reread after each day and reset. But if I am right on both counts, then it narrows the list to Hakuna and Tejas (for me. I just dont think surf is mafia this game) and since Hakuna really only engaged with KDogg, I am on him.
Notice, I dont move my vote just because you or Jfg decide to tilt at a windmill. In the end, the game is about the facts and the votes. The fact that you are voting for me is disturbing for all the reasons I explained to you. I probably am the least mafiesque looking player left in the game, and yet there your vote sits. I dont really care as long as Hakuna comes in with me. Obviously I would prefer not to die, and prefer not to be in the runoff, but the facts dont support you lynching me and I am pretty sure you can see that.
So, if you are ready to sober up and look at the facts, we can get back to the killuns....

Ya I've been quiet. Just had a nice long post but lost it so here's the quick version.
I really think it's Monkey, sort of why I've been quiet, I just haven't had much to add, it's a gut thing, but last time I was this sure I was right, I'd rather stick to my guns then dilute and second guess myself.
For those of you voting for Viking: Monkey was heavily stacked and on the block, Viking essentially saved him by switching things up. I'm fine with viking switching things up, even it being me, it shows he's trying to really figure it out. I don't see what it would accomplish Viking if he was mafia. The only thing it could be would be Viking saving him and at this point the distancing would be far more valuable.
Here's where I am overall.
I truly think its Monkey, fact is he isn't getting whacked from here on out be it because he is mafia, or if he is a townie he's too good of a target. Even if he survives today, please don't let him make it to the end.
If it's not Monkey, I think it's probably jfg, no real reason, more of a default.
If it's not down to one person, I think the wild card is a Viking/Tejas combo, if that's the case, exceptionally played game and I think we are screwed anyways.
I'm fine if I die, as I think this is basically a free round for us and the whack should wrap things up nicely.

I'm good with this response. Hakuna has no reason to really help me here and I've been inflammatory on purpose to make it easier for people to switch to me as an "easy" target. I still am concerned about hakuna but as they say trust your first choice.
Viking >> Monky
Locked in. Won't be checking much the next 24 hours.
