For what it's worth, I e-mailed Roo in regards to the Saturday late-night schedule and they said all sets will be "scheduled" to end by 3AM.
Obviously we know artists will go beyond this time, but artists being schedule to end at 3AM reconciles with the slightly fewer artists we have for LN this year. Like one tent could just be "Superjam" from 1am to 3am, or just "Slayer" from 1am to 3am, or just D'Angelo in a tent, etc.
I'm really OK with fewer artists schedule for LN, simce there are so many LN artists I want to see that adding more would just be another act I'd miss.
Maybe I'm just being an optimist here, but I really can't see D'Angelo only being scheduled for 90 minutes. His recent sets have clocked in over 2.5 hours. That's a pretty serious cut. I'm hoping for 2!

Thank you, but what the fuck!!! Those motherfuckers,I just can't think of who to put with Slayer, it's gotta be Tycho or D'Angelo but those both sound super bizarre to put with Slayer. But, it would kick some serious ass to go D'Angelo>Slayer but I doubt that because they're both billed really high. But, I'm thinking/hoping for...

There is NO WAY the cut it down to only one Superjam this year and they make it only an hour and a half. And what reason is there to believe D'Angelo is gonna a two and a half hour set? Sounds to me like a big D'Angelo fan is just hoping that it happens. Also, your schedule is wrong because Flume is scheduled to play later than 3 which was just stated to be the latest scheduled ending of a show on Saturday (that is why I only gave Tycho an hour slot.)
Schedule Released: 4/21 (leaked through app) 5/6 (official)
Everything has been coming earlier this year. Entirely possible we get an official schedule release before the month is out. I think I look forward to the schedule release more than the artist announcement.
I still have a hard time believing all late nights are scheduled to END by 3. That has literally never happened before. The closest thing I can compare it to is 2012 Saturday where everything ended by 4 and I was surprised then!
I guess if Mumford goes from 9-11 maybe. But otherwise, ending by 3 seems silly and unprecedented.

i was wondering this is as well, isn't there always something scheduled til at least 4 (in a tent or on the stage, usually a tent)

I don't believe it either. They almost always go later than 3.
I'd take the "scheduled to end by 3" comment with a industrial-sized shaker of salt. I asked when they were going to end in regards to the single-day shuttle schedule. They said the shuttles will leave around 3AM, when all the late-night sets are "scheduled" to end.
I remember when they started single days in 2013, I had a friend who was interested but the shuttles then left at like 2 a.m., mid-late night. So it came into my head once or twice whether it would be better to leave during a show you cared about or just stay in Centeroo for the rest of the weekend - logistics of that horrible decision, etc.
I don't think we should limit our late nights to 3. If we make mock schedules that have artists playing til 3:30 or 4, it will probably be okay. Stage pairings are more important than end times anyway.
That being said:
What - Mumford: 10-12 Which - Bassnectar: 12-2 This - Superjam: 1-3 That - D'Angelo: 12-2 > Tycho 2:30-4 Other - Slayer: 11:30-1 > Flume 1:30-3:30

Not hard for AT ALL, I'd camp my happy ass in Centeroo all weekend
All these mock schedules have me worried about the rush from Mumford (girlfriend's #1) to D'angelo (my #1). God help us if they conflict.
It was hard enough last year when Jack White conflicted with The Flaming Lips....well not THAT bad considering JW's set was monumental.
You could split up? There's no bonnaroo rule that couples must see everything together?
Or your could compromise and stay towards the back at each show and run from one to the next.
Its our goal to get pit for Mumford so cue the mad dash!! I don't have to be rail for D'angelo...it would just suck to miss any of his set. A late 2am start would be ideal but not likely.
She's not a fan of the song "The Cave" so fingers crossed Mums will close with that and we can head out before the mob starts. Will probably end up splitting up... (Good call!)

Maybe see her stuff and then when your show starts (if that's even the case), head out, leave her there.... and just stay to the back so she can find you when she's done and coming to join you.

This is the best plan IMO
also, I think the more traffic will be going to Flume from Mumford (if Flume is right after Mumford) than there will be going to D'Angelo. Actually, as big of a deal as D'angelo is and how great that show will be, I think the crowd for that show will be smaller than we expect, especially if he conflicts with the Superjam !

Me and my GF are already talking about splitting up on Friday Night. I really want to see RTJ & Fly Lo and she wants to see Odesza. There has to be some kind of conflict there. Probably wont get the schedule released till the end of April/May so we will see then

Quick question for you hunks. Have you seen Mumford live before?

Caught a little of their daytime set in 2011 and it was a little too country for me. Really talented musicians though so I know it'll be a fun show. Hopefully the new album doesn't suck as hard as the first sibgle!

Saw Mumford at Lolla in 2013. I am a fan but I think their music lacks any kind of depth. As far as 2013 goes- their set was fun. A good sing-a-long. The cover of I'm on Fire by Bruce was great despite the kiddies not understanding that they were covering The Boss. I heard "what is this" a couple times out of some kids. Thinking about 2015, they are changing their "sound" to electric. I doubt that changes their recipe at all though. If "Believe" is any indication it will sound like Chris Martin needed to write a Coldplay album in one day. Mumford will sing slow and low, then roar as the crowd goes crazy. Instead of a banjo it will be an electric guitar. That said, if you caught about an hour. That should cover what Mumford's live show is about.
D'Angelo>Mumford- if your girlfriend is competent by herself then get yo azz to D! And if she isn't, then find a new girlfriend!

Here's to hoping for a RTJ/FlyLo tent! They're my top 2 for Fri. As much as I'm dying to see Earth, Wind and Fire it could work if they conflicted with both so the GF (not a rap fan) wouldn't have to endure the insane pits for both.

Yeah i think first single was just a get it out on the radio type song. All the songs I like from the first two albums are deep cuts anyways. The reasoned I asked is my GF LOVES them but isnt a fan of The Cave. Except when they do it live! Its a different cadence and its rousing with the fans! I for one plan on being in the pit for them.

Sounds really similar! My girl really only listens to their first album and prefers the "deep cuts." That's how she's been introducing them to me. See ya in the pit!

Pretty much my exact thought process right now. There's no chance I can make it to Roo any earlier than Saturday morning. But there's also no chance I would leave a Saturday late-night set early just to catch the shuttle. Strongly considering missing the shuttle if necessary, toughing it out in Centeroo, and somehow finding an alternate way back to Nashville on Sunday. But part of me questions the logic behind this plan.

I honestly don't think this would be difficult to do for one night. If I were to attempt that I would get a locker in Centeroo to store any overnight/next day stuff I might need. Hammock, extra clothes, toiletries etc.
There is a rule in all caps on the lockers page that says you have to have a ticket to access the lockers. I'm not sure how this works with single day tickets, but if you know someone going the whole weekend they could be a middle man for you.
