Hi all! I am a new roo'er this year (whoohoo)! I will be coming down from Nashville and wanted to see who was heading that way. We just moved here and are happy to meet any new people in the area...especially ones that are down with Bonnaroo! Oh yeah, and I want to give a shout out to everyone on this forum. This site has given me tons of information and the everyone here has been super helpful and awesome!
I lived by Murder Kroger for a few months. I was really hoping I could have found an apt by boarded up payless, but you take what you can get sometimes.

It's my understanding....that a few years past...before the re-gentrification of East Nashville, there was a murder at the Kroger on Gallatin near 5 points. I think someone told my boyfriend that some guy came in there and shot his girlfriend. Anyways, I think it is something to that effect. Probably some of the forum members who have been here longer, will have many more details. but I have only been here a couple of months and I have heard it called that by several people.
and yes, you can join, but you have to say that "East Nashville Rocks". That's the only requirement unless, someone else has 2 cents to put in.
now I remember....she was an employee and ex shot her dead at the store. That sucks. I had head of the "Arm pit" kroger, and little Tijuana kroger, but not MK.

Just to let ya'll know. I frequent the 3 crow bar on Thursday for Trivia. I am not there every Thursday, but about every two or three weeks. we were going every week, but our teammates are accountants and were both in busy season mode. even if we don't end up meeting up for a drink, i encourage you to check out trivia time on thursdays at 8. it can be quite fun. and we are all for any team that can be this other team that has like 10 members and one of them is a history teacher (hmmm, that doesn't seem fair). so obviously, I am jealous of this team b/c they always win.
I'm living just a bit down the road from everybody in the Boro. Never heard of the "Murder Kroger" before, but the situations (murderous boyfriend/guy shot in the ass) sound about par for Nashville. I live east of Nashville so I guess East Nashville Rocks! I also grew up in Manchester.
edge, 3-crow, red door, allycat, wave sushi, 5-spot, french quarter, radio cafe, lipstick lounge, foobar, margot, marche...... EAST NASHVILLE ROCKS YA'LL !!!!! I DO think the MKM should plan a cocktail hour sometime.
oh snappity snap. i moved here in march. i dont live near a mkm but i live near lil mexico. whahaha. ahhh good thing i luvs me sum mexican food. anyways im all game for hooking up whenever u guys want. it'll be great fun im sure. im gonna go camp at roo cos sumbody at work told me its literally insane with the traffic. i wanna know when i can go set up my camp crap. simply cos i dont think ive ever had to set up a tent and it might take me like 2 days to figure it out. hehehehehe
sinny you are better off camping than trying to drive back and forth. the traffic can be tricky and you just are not going to feel like driving home at 4am when the fun is over fotr the day then back down at 11am to start again. dont worry about your tent - someone will help you put it up. i bought a new one this year and i would not have been able to put it up myself because its tall. i fyou have a really small one you might be able to put it up alone - but dont worry about it. there is a post about when you can set up your camp. some people are going down on wed and staying at the walmart in the parking lot. you can go on wed night and set up in roo but i hear that they put you waaaaaay back in the back.
Well, Just had court yesterday and it looks like I wont be able to drive to Roo this year.. anyone from around spring hill columbia area. have an extra spot??
