I'm just seeing this. Poll closed on 12/11. I agree with some of the poll picks but I would have taken: Dylan Beck Hold Steady George Clinton/Parliament Grace Potter NMH
Anybody know when the lineup announcement is or what the best lodging options are? The price is nice.
I think I'll go as well. I wanna see everyone you mentioned.

I would think a few of the artists at Carolina Rebellion will make their way across Tennessee and hitting up MIM. Haven't been in a few years since moving up to Northwest Arkansas but always on the radar

Full lineup is usually in late Feb/early March. Hopefully they get in on the 2015 fad of releasing it earlier than normal. They had been using facebook the past 2-3 years to release hints of the the lineup from Dec-until lineup drops by liking artists on the bill but that has yet to take place this festival season.
They tend to hide their cards a little better than some festivals. I think it's because it's a smaller festival than Bonnaroo/Coachella/Hangout. Less people are trying to 'scoop' them.
They always bring a good lineup, though. Last year's was impressive. The only issue with Beale Street MF is that it sometimes falls during rainy season... just be sure to pack ponchos/rain boots. It tends to rain more often than not. In our area, it's known as 'mudfest'. Most people stay in a local hotel, though, within walking distance... so it's not a huge problem.
It was lightning one year so bad that Ben Folds would not even come out on the stage and his performance was cancelled... I remember the next act was Sheryl Crow and she played through some of the most impressive lightning I've seen at an outdoor venue.
Aside from the rain, it's a great festival, though. Great food, too!

That's what I like about it. I'm not too worried about the lineup bc it's only a few hours away, cheap hotels, and not much money spent out of my pocket. Even if there are only a handful of decent artists, I'm still going to go. Nothing beats memphis in may. Well, besides bonnaroo in june

Wife and I picked BSMF at random last year cause it fell on our first anniversary. The weather was perfect but I was told more than once that it was the first year without rain. Had a blast and scooped up tickets for cheap again this year. Just hope there are a few bands to get pumped about.
They are not doing their usual "Likes" hinting system this year, but they are scarcely mentioning acts on their Timeline that haven't played the fest before.
So far, since December, these are basically locks:
Paramore, Five Finger Death Punch, Shovels & Rope, Wilco, Hozier, and Ryan Adams. Five of which were on that Poll listing.
Going through each of those acts on the Poll's tour dates, these are the ones who are in the area and/or have open spots on May 1-3: P-funk, Neutral Milk Hotel, Slash, Breaking Benjamin, Milky Chance, Beck, Passion Pit, Flogging Molly, Damian Marley, Bela Fleck, Benjamin Booker
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is the only one ballsy enough to skirt the hiding-festival-dates-until-said-festival-reveals-lineup scheme - he has BEALE STREET MUSIC FESTIVAL labeled May 2nd on his tour schedule.

Yea, sorry, finally got around to making a rumors page for it.
Usually I wouldn't put much weight into the TBT's and repeat artists from previous years, but they all just "happen" to have open dates that weekend in the general area.
