After a year hiatus in favor of Hulaween in 2014, I'm hoping to return to Bear Creek again this year. It'd be nice to get some more lineup additions first though. I love the lineup so far, but it's not enough to convince friends of mine to go who haven't experienced BC in the past.
I'm so used to BC coming out the gates around Wanee with a mostly complete lineup and even some additions before the prices go up. This year it's over a month earlier and we're only given a small sample of what to expect. Hopefully we get a larger lineup release in the near future before a lot of my friends opt for other festivals instead.
Dear Bear Creek family, It is with heavy hearts we must announce that Bear Creek Music & Art Festival 2015 has been canceled. Bear Creek was one of the top boutique festivals in the US, and a primary reason it has been so special is because of YOU, our dedicated fans. We spent eight amazing years together filled with beautiful music, dancing, laughter and celebration, and those memories will always live on. In hopes of producing the best possible event for everyone involved, we switched our dates and tried to diversify our lineup to keep things fresh. Unfortunately, things just were not working out in our favor this year and we were not willing to let the show go on unless everything was absolutely perfect. All ticket purchasers will be refunded from point of purchase. Much love

That sucks. Bear Creek absolutely ruled. 3,500 people, 0 douchebags and more funk than anywhere else. Hopefully they will bring it back again in the future, but if not, I'm glad I was at least able to go to the last one.
Holy moley that's terrible. I haven't been to bear creek in a few years, I'm guessing Hulaween is a big reason their ticket sales have been down.
I always said they should have been booking bigger headliners. OG Meters, Mandril, etc
Years I would skip were headlined by UM cockrock wankery so I'm sure there was prob other people who got bored. The move to October had to hurt, and Hulaween def hurt it.
This fest was so cool. Jazzfest late nights at the fucking SOSMP! Gonna try real hard to hit up Jam Cruise in 2017. Wish I could next year but the money thing ain't gonna work, which sucks because that is the best lineup they've ever had.

Supposedly, hulaween's contract at Suwannee ends after this year. If they don't come back next year, I guarantee bear creek will return bigger and better
