Oh duh you guys are watching them put them up on the beach cam.
WORKING IS STILL STUPID. is it time for my 6:45 AM flight to New Orleans yet???
Where are you flying in from. I was trying to pull a esteban and leave on Tuesday at midnight (into Wednesday) but the girl I'm rolling with doesn't trust me driving through the middle of the night. So we are leaving at 4am instead, but ill be on at most, 3 hours of sleep. Whatever.

Haha. We pulled that last week leaving Universal at 8:45, the Orlando Air B&B Condo at 9:40 and getting in Pensacola about 3:00am to sleep. We started driving overnight to visit far off family when my kids were little (be it Jacksonville or NE Ohio). They would mostly sleep through the night and only have minimal car-seat to car-seat fights. Biggest problem for me is sleeping a few hours before driving, and sometimes that's hard to do when you're all jacked up for the destination. Your issues are Houston and Baton Rouge. You'll be close with Houston driving through there in the 6:30-7ish timeframe which may put you in H-town traffic hell. But if you skate through that, you shouldn't have any other problems the entire way. I'm assuming the whole drive is about 10 hours from Austin at 75-78mph. You'll be through Baton Rouge by 11/12, New Orleans by 12/1 and you won't encounter any major traffic in Mississippi or even Alabama though it's possible that the I-10 crossing Mobile Bay could be backed up at any point after 3 once you come out of the tunnel until you get to the Eastern Shore.
The only thing that could improve your timetable would be to leave at 3:30am which would put you through Houston by about 6 and lessen the likelihood you'll get stuck in any traffic there.

Roger that. Going to do a Jedi Coffee at Strange brew here and hit the road by 330AM. I should clean and pack tomorrow morning.
Because Im slowly becoming obsessed with Foals, here is their SK setlist:
Snake Oil Olympic Airways My Number Providence Spanish Sahara Red Socks Pugie Late Night A Knife In the Ocean Mountain at My Gates Inhaler What Went Down Two Steps, Twice (seems like this one gets cut off a lot when they don't have enough time, but they have the same amount of time as SK)
So, I have a couple crew friends who need shuttle passes - def need them since we're hella far away in TP. I've seen all these crazy prices on stubhub but assumed no one would actually pay that much... Well, I was bored at work today, so I signed on to "post" my band and see what they're really going for. People have bought the shuttle passes alone for $100, $200, $300, $400, and there was one sold for $550 yesterday afternoon.
Pure. Insanity.
PS, my friends will totally pay $100 if you have some extras

Ordinarily I'd say hit us up. But I'm going to Deftones Wed night. \m/

Any suggestions? We have an airbnb in the French Quarter. Looks like Revivalists are playing a square that afternoon for free - is there something we shouldn't miss? I'm bringing quite a few NOLA virgins...
Work done for me in Buffalo, NY as well as if 4pm. Flying into Gulfport early Thursday morning. Then straight to the condo and kick ass pre-party. Cannot wait

Holy shit!! I would post your request on the Facebook page and see if you get any bites....screw $400 for a shuttle pass.
Must be some fantastic shuttle!!! Ridiculous! The damn forecast is like a damn Rubik's cube. Days flipping and flopping. Hope it continues to shift in a good way. Should never have looked @ it though between that & work today was hell.

Yeah the weather has literally changed by the hour. It's gonna probably rain a little bit. Maybe a little storm. Hopefully it's not during the actual fest and hopefully it comes and goes. The majority of the weekend should be fine I'd think.

There is a disproportionate amount of Buffalo area people in here.

Always reppin the Bills gear at Hangout!
Which, how about Sammy Watkins and Shaq Lawson injury news on the same day. Ouch!

Wednesday at the Square is pretty cool if it doesn't get rained out. They have beer and pretty great food kiosks there. Only bitch is you gotta get tickets for that stuff. If Deftones didn't sell out, I'd tell you to show up after Revivalists and get tickets at the door. What I would do for NOLA virgins is if you are walking to see the free show, stop by Pat O's and get them a hurricane to walk with (32 oz waxpaper cup). If revivalists weren't playing I'd say go to Frenchmen and hit Blue Nile, dba or one of those clubs. If you are looking for food recommendations, tell me how much you want to spend and how casual. Jabco raved about Killer Poboys which is in the French quarter. You can get a decent Poboys at Verde Mart as well. Otherwise, there are a million restaurants. Just avoid shit like French Quarter Seafood or Vieux Carre whatever (not the poster obviously).

You guys are all invited to stop by whenever on Thursday, and the invitation to meet outside the west gate at the house Friday for a toast before the gates open is still good. I'm personally looking forward to a happy panda bloody mary...
