Just read another alabama article updated 7 hrs ago regarding the weekend weather. Honestly sounds like Friday is gonna be the only day we gotta worry about. Just hopefully it's not SO bad where anything gets cancelled. We've been lucky so far with this fest so fingers crossed. Every other day we're gonna be good.
We got here on Sunday, which had been the nicest day so far. I took a few photos of "gray London" beach GS edition but imgur has been acting a bitch, but from 2-4 there was about 45 minutes where it was pretty nice. The wind started out SE then came from the south for about 2.5 hours and now it's coming from the SW. Great thing about the wind has been the speedy it's stayed 15 mph all day. South wind of any direction really helps with shearing storms pretty nicely, and I'm certain it's rained a bit north in Foley. Forecast was like 80% rain for the day and it hasn't rained all day. It hasn't been pretty but was never threatening. Talked with my mom in Mobile (1 hour away) and it has rained most of the day there. Keep your heads up kidos, we're gonna be okay and if it rains Friday, you're already in a bathing suit.
I'd love to post my schedule, but I have way too many conflicts right now. Big Grams/BØrns - Outkast was my favorite show ever, so it would be cool to see the Big Boi flavor again, but I don't want to miss BØrns, so I might split. Moon Taxi/Allison Wonderland - Moon Taxi is one of my favorite bands, seen them 6 times, but there aren't many DJs I'm a fan of playing, so I don't want to miss AW after hearing a recording of how good her Ultra set was. Alabama Shakes/Vince Staples - Shakes are always good, but Vince will shut it down as good as anyone. Probably get to Vince early for a spot and then maybe head to Shakes. 3LAU/Portugal - Saw Portugal two years ago and loved it, but they haven't released any new albums. 3LAU will be a party and I missed my chance at going to a show on their last tour. Then there's another 3-4 game the decisions. It's good that I like enough acts to have conflicts, but it kind of sucks still.
Yeah Borns/Big Grams is gonna come down to if I feel like walking. Same with Kurt Vile/Bear Hands and Portugal/Zoogma. I'm dead set on Vince now too. Shakes play for like 45 mins after him I believe so I'll just head over there and catch the end.
Rail or bail for me: People of the Sun, Vince Staples, Foals, Flo.
In for trying for all 4. I know my crew will wanna get close for Rage since that'll be the first set we see. Flo probably won't happen but I'll leave Cage early for Foals no questions asked. Staples will be tough cus I'm not gonna wanna leave The Revivalists early.

We were on the beach most of the day...there was an hour or so of dark clouds and on and off rain this a.m.
Ya'll may want to pack som long sleeve tees 'cause it's been that middle ground temp the last two evenings. ..as your blood thins, it may be nice to have sleeves.
Video screens on the main stage ate going up right now.
so official Thursday night meetup before pre-party at Chics spot? I want to be at the TaxiRage set like 15 min early for a close spot so im down for like a 530ish meetup if that works for everyone
IN. Everyone bring a god damn name tag
I'll bring a sharpie and you can write your name on your forehead.
Just made a disappointing discovery with the app. If I add an artist to my schedule on say Friday, then they re-appear on my schedule every other time they play on Sat/Sun. Am I doing it wrong or does this app just suck?
Do they have paper schedules at the fest? I can't remember if I got one in previous years.

That's what I was hoping. So often when a big storm comes in it will look like it's coming straight for you on the beach but then it just goes right over you and rains like 5 or 10 miles inland.
