What's the best place to go out on thurs night if me and my crew aren't catching the pre-party? We love Florabama but that's so damn far from Gulf Shores.
It is probably in your best interest to just go to Florabama. Alternatively, just hang out on the beach, you will see some wild stuff.

Okay guys. It's almost here and unfortunately I cannot be with you all at the fest. I hope you all have a wonderful time. I have a few tips for you out-of-towners and fellow festival goers out there in dealing with what you will find in Baldwin County, Alabama, having been a resident there for nearly 23 years until last February,
1. Don't give any reason for you to get pulled over by the men in uniform. You see a police man, they see you as revenue. If you so much as go one mile an hour over the limit, there's a good chance you will get pulled over. So don't give them a reason to do it in the first place. Use your turn signals, be patient and polite out there, and for heaven's sake, don't drink and drive. I'll even come from Pensacola to come get you if I have to.
2. If you do have to travel down Highway 59 to get to Hangout, the need to be extra careful is a must, especially on the northern side of the highway from Bay Minette to Loxley.
There's an old adage in Baldwin County: Come on vacation, leave on Probation. Don't have to come back in September to the courthouse in Bay Minette. Just mind your p's and q's and everything will be hetti, ya dig?

My friend and I somehow forgot how to print our pre party tickets. We can get to the site with our receipt of purchase but we've blanked from there.
You might be able to print at the box office, I've done that at another fest. They can prob scan it from your phone too if you can open the ticket
I guess what I should have said was that we can't even pull up the ticket with the barcode to scan. I have to pick up my wristband at will call anyway, so I guess I should just get it from them then.
Looks like we're supposed to get some storms mid-afternoon today and then clear til mid-morning Friday... But even then, only 50% chance. I'll take it!
You guys have fun tomorrow! We don't check in til Friday. Planning on catching Borns as our first show. Where's your favorite spot for AXS stage? It's my least favorite stage and we're catching three sets there: Borns, Struts, Kurt Vile.
Stage right has been pretty kind if you wanna kinda snake up towards the front. There is beer vendor on that side so I feel people are kinda use to ppl just coming and going there. For the vertically challenged we've used the electrical cover in front of the soundboard to move up and stand around too.

Over the four-day Hangout Music Festival, local law enforcement agencies made 113 individual arrests with 126 criminal charges, according to statistics compiled by Gulf Shores police.
The majority of the arrests involved unlawful possession of a controlled substance with 39 people booked, followed by public intoxication at 32.
This year's totals nearly doubled the numbers reported last year. In 2014, Gulf Shores police reported 32 individual arrests and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office charged 33 individuals in the venue.
Gulf Shores police spokesman Cpl. Josh Coleman said the city and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office have learned a great deal since the festival began in 2010. The agencies streamlined the onsite booking process this year.
"Everything went very well," he said. "Traffic was very good, too. The shuttle system alleviated a lot of the traffic issues."
A full breakdown of festival-related arrests are as follows: •1 -- resisting arrest •32 -- public intoxication •4 -- disorderly conduct •1 -- carrying a pistol without a license •39 -- unlawful possession of a controlled substance •13 -- second-degree possession of marijuana •6 -- possession of drug paraphernalia •1 -- third-degree domestic violence •1 -- criminal littering •1 -- use of false identification to obstruct justice •1 -- second-degree theft of property •1 -- third-degree theft of property •11 -- minor in possession of alcohol •1 -- misdemeanor leaving scene of a traffic accident •8 -- warrant/failure to appear •1 -- warrant/fail to pay •2 -- city ordinance violation of doing business without a license •2 -- city ordinance violation of sleeping in a vehicle

I can def vouch for this. They sit in Bay Minette like vultures. They'll also be very helpful about letting you know that you can pay online instead of at the courthouse. They just forget to mention that there's a huge fee for doing so. Pro tip: if you get a ticket, go straight to the courthouse and pay the fine, you'll save yourself some $.
Back home int Tennessee...worn out after the drive home. solidrock...I saw the blues Tuesday. The heavy humidity, fog and light rain resulted in some crazy cool F18 images with condensation halos, etc. Great show even if low.
Amen brother @zen Arcade....Orange Beach po-po will pull you over for a sneeze and collect taxes. I catch a Gulf Coast or Florabama van if drinking.
Weather looks like wet and possible show impacting winds and lightning for Friday but, otherwise clear.

We WILL make it. When I finally make it down there tomorrow , I'm gonna be posting for help decorating the deck. (Already hit up cmack and Ne215) That should excite/piss off enough of you to shoot out a post or two. If we all hit it two or three times each, we'll hit the 400 mark before the gates open Friday.
I just noticed how many views/replies this thread has. This has to be the most active yearly thread on this forum besides maybe the main Roo one. (and maybe it surpasses that since there is a lack of hype this year)
