They do NOT sell wine in grocery stores, only beer. It Must be under 6% alcohol (I think) to sell in grocery stores and Walmart
Actually, that's incorrect. I know my local Kroger (a grocery store chain) has a whole section designated just for wine. They also sell beer that is 8.4% alcohol.
EDIT: I just realized this could vary from state to state, so I apologize if you were representing TN grocery stores... I've only been exposed to stores in VA, which tends to be a pretty strict state when it comes to alcohol and tobacco so I just assume not many states get worse than VA.
I work at a Kroger...wish we could sell wine. But nooooooooooo, not in our backassward state. Wine at the liquor store only. Beer at the grocery store only, and high alcohol beer at a beer store only. How F*cked up is that?

That's awful... Just when I thought Virginia was as bad as it got...

Oklahoma might be worse. Only 3.2 beer, unless you buy it at a liquor store. Our liquor stores close at 9pm, and are not open on Sundays, holidays or voting days. If you buy it at a liquor store, it is sold HOT. So, basically, unless you plan it out, you will be drinking 3.2.

Liqour stores are the same in Oregon. Closed Sundays, and holidays, warm booze. I don't know the beer limit in the stores though, they do sell high % beer.

Hey guys! A good friend of mine who's a bonafide bonnaroo vet urged me not to plan to stock up at the local walmart near roo. He told me that when they went last year, thinking they could get a few things they decided they really might want, everything was wiped clean. So please don't plan on doing your main shopping there, because most likely the items like energy bars, water, beer, etc., will be on hiatus!
