Count me in for the Sparklefart 2 camp, is there an official thread yet?
There isn't a sparklefart thread but there needs to be!
Let's get that crackin already! I'm already thinking of outfits for this year if anyone is dressing up. Definitely doing a space cadet theme and probably a tribal/wildman one as well.
They've definitely gone more brass / jazz / soul last couple years - but actually they've had a pretty great variety over the last 9 years of VIP I've done (Dr. Dog, Chairlift, etc...). And every now and then there's a real beer treat too - Starr Hill's Northern Lights had it's first large-scale coming out party at VIP one year, which was pretty cool.

My bet would be Jon Cleary for this year
I'm kind of hoping it's not Jon Cleary, just because I'm from New Orleans and I can see him every night if I wanted lol. Maybe Earth Wind & Fire if they're going fun and funky
My Buddy and I are doing our second Roo, first time VIP. Stoked. We are just two dudes so we'll need some company while we are on the Farm. Can be kind of weird with just your buddy at Roo...

Dont get me wrong I would jump for EWF in the VIP party but I dont think its happening lol. My personal wish is Brown Sabbath, which would also be fun and funky

I was listening to Brown Sabbath last night for the first time, it was awesome! I'd definitely be game for them being the band, and that's obviously much more of a realistic scenario.

Question: I'm driving in from Michigan and was planning on staying at the Hampton Inn 40 miles from Roo in Murfreesboro. Last year we didn't do VIP and were exhausted on day 1, and hoping to maximize this year's VIP's experience by coming through the gates super well rested. Do you think I'll be waiting in a ton of GA traffic trying to get to the hotel on Wednesday night?
Also, what is all of this Camp Sparklefart business? I'm intrigued.

On Wednesday, you shouldn't have many traffic issues north of Manchester, save for if you decide to drive through Nashville around rush hour. For the last eight years we've camped at a private campground just north of Manchester, and we've never had any issues getting there. Like yourself, we do that so we're not beat down on Thursday. We usually end up meeting other people at the campground who are doing the same thing for the exact same reason.

Sparklefart is one of the two or three legs of inforoo, that situates itself in VIP. Last year was its first year, with around 9 cars and 20+/- people. It is a great way to meet and camp with awesome people, and a great way to maintain security of your site (power in numbers is always a plus)
I'll go ahead and create a thread, its time - sign up there, you really won't regret it
This is my boyfriend and I's first time going to Bonnaroo. We are going VIP. We have been to other festivals just wondering how about the camp site and getting best way to the farm. 1st questions How much room do you have, we had planned on bringing two canopy's and a 9x7 tent to put partially under one canopy as well as a grill and vehicle. Is there a way to get on the end rather then in the middle of a row? Any suggestions for what time to head over there since we are driving in 13 hours we will be staying at a hotel near by for the day what time and where do you go for vip entrance on Thursday AM?

While I didn't camp with Sparklefart last year I did spend some time there. Lots of cool cats and they cook a wicked breakfast. Tainted Opossum kindly provided some excellent brews from Ska Brewing (one of my favorites) and it was a grand ole time. I'm doing guest this year but I'll find a way to sneak in to VIP and pay y'all a visit again!

This will be me and my girlfriends 4th Roo 2nd VIP, we usually stay just outside of Chattanooga Wednesday night before heading in around 9 or 10..meaning you arrive at 9 or 10 due to time zones. Don't worry about finding your way they will be sending you a map and there will be traffic directed on every road in like a 15 mile perimeter around the venue. Last year we had a Dodge 1500 Extended Cab, 10x10 ezup and 6 person tent still had enough walking space for our neighbors and our car doors to be open at the same time.

Greetings! This will be our 2nd Roo and 2nd VIP (last time we went was 08)
We have two young kids (who are staying home with Grandma) and we're really looking forward to partying down at the Roo. Hope to meet you fine people. We are most likely driving in very early Friday morning from St. Louis (like leaving at 4am)
Will be checking this thread leading up to the weekend, can't wait!

Can anyone shed light on the Sunday brunch that happens in VIP? Such as what time, food, drinks, etc. Looking forward to this. Has this been done in past years?

They will post times for the brunch by the time you're getting your wristband. The only thing is to arrive on time. Lots of people take extra food with them back to camp and so sometimes the food can be gone within 45 minutes.
