This album is fantastic.
Listening to wanna be cool and I'm loving it, thinking a lot of what I've heard sound FlyLo esque and this song has a really late 80's/90's beat. Anyway, this great, I just can't wait for him to skyrocket up fest's lineup next year and get the longer set times he deserves.

So what do we think was the deal with the leaked, nearly-correct Superjam announcement from last week? IMO it was correct a month ago, AC sent the announcement graphic to the performer's teams to approve the lineup (names in their correct placement on the lineup, etc), Lindell leaked it, Miguel dropped out, they scrambled, got DMC. It makes too much sense that Lindell had the graphic standards correct (it matched all the other marketing materials perfectly), lineup was sooo close but just a little off, then we get the REAL lineup announcement and it's all "Saved By the Bell" graphics which are not really in the same style as the other announcements. I guess what I'm getting at is that someone had the inside info, tried to leak, and it got changed.

They likely sent it out to the performers in it a week or so ago and he posted it on his facebook not knowing it wasn't confirmed yet. It was probably just a miscommunication/mess up. Things like this have happened before.

so i've decided, for me, i'll probably split my time half and half so i can see some bassnectar and then run over to the SJ. it's my 2nd roo and I've yet to catch a SJ. this one seems like it would be pretty awesome for my first one.
I feel like they're gonna end up moving the Superjam out of The Other like they did with Skrillex last year.
Let's hope. Aside from the size difference, it's much harder to flow in and out of The Other than the others. It feels that way anyways. Maybe the screens will help encourage some folks to hang back and watch from the lawn. (I had totally forgotten that they'd added screens to the tents this year, btw. I hope they didn't do something dumb like put them under the tents!)

Sweet. I had assumed so until I was typing that last post and realized that I might have just been making an assumption that they would do it logically!

ACJuggs had a great post about the roo masses huddled around these little 27" monitors a few weeks ago, I couldn't stop cracking up at the possibilities of how greatly they could fuck up something as simple as a screen or two per tent to show people outside what's raging inside.

I feel like they're gonna end up moving the Superjam out of The Other like they did with Skrillex last year.
worst part about "other" is the damn hill.. got screwed with tame impala a few years back because anyone on the other side of the peak can't see at all. i usually hang back at shows because i'm tall and i can see from anywhere. unless there's a hill blocking me there is. hopefully the screens fix this issue

Yea the slope at The Other Tent is awful. Anyone standing outside the tent where the ground evens out is fucked and can't see shit.

Yea, this was the worst ever during Sleigh Bells years back. I didn't even bother trying to watch them after seeing the crowd! Luckily I was right up front for tame impala. Was there from the start of Holy Ghost is why..
I thought they made it easy for me to skip this SJ and see Bassnectar, but with the addition of DMC and Chance it's going to be tougher to miss. Oh well, I always miss out on something at Roo.

for me it will be crowd size driven. Not missing a minute of Slayer so after that I'll walk over to Superjam to see whats happening. I'm assuming under the tent will be packed at that point, so if the sound is decent outside the tent and the new screens are a viable way to watch the show I'll do the superjam. Lot of ifs there. Otherwise I'll check out Bassnectar.
