There are a lot playing Governor's Ball that I expected and wanted on this line-up. St Vincent, Ryan Adams, Hot Chip, Tame Impala, and Future Islands....just 2-3 of those would have made me feel so much better about this line-up. God I wanted Hot Chip so bad, they were my best chance to relive the awesome dance party I had with Cut Copy last year.
Also Father John Misty and Wilco are playing my city on the same day, and I really really thought Roo would get at least one of the two to alleviate that conflict. They got neither. :/ I didn't really expect Wilco but I can't believe they didn't get FJM.
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
And shabazz palaces. Did this person even read this lineup?
Ha, yeah, I was just thinking - this betch shouldn't even be in here where everyone is bitterly complaining about our losses, seeing as two of their "losses" did in fact make it on the lineup. Cheers to them though.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I just keep imagining how great this Bonnaroo lineup could be if Shaky Knees had not came about in the last three years. Mid tier fests seem like the best deal now days unless one of the big 4 book a bucket list headliner and all of them have been used up at this point in festival history.

I was just talking about this yesterday. There are so many fests now that the lineups from 4-5 years ago simply aren't possible. There is no way all of them can survive. I almost sort of feel like music festivals are a fad and will eventually dwindle down until only the biggest survive. Of course I could be wrong. With more and more fests popping up they are starting to overlap dates. This causes problems in booking artists I imagine.

Word on Future Islands. I've seen them a couple times, so I might've passed them up at Roo if there was conflict, BUT they're one of those bands that everyone deserves to see live - so I really wanted them anyway, for the benefit of the festival (and I was hoping I could find a way to catch their set after all). But now, irrelevant wishes, blah.
Also, Back in the Tall Grass is probably my fave of their songs.
