I'm mildly worried about getting tickets with two reunions at the top of the bill. I'm hoping that going weekend 2 will give me a little extra time. But I'll be on and purchasing the minute they go on sale.

The big-hair era of Guns N' Roses: The band played an Appetite for Destruction song at the Cathouse (the Hollywood club owned by MTV VJ Riki Rachtman), while the editors riffled through as many early photos of the band as they could find. David Bowie (who had dated Slash's mom many years earlier) showed up at this video shoot; when Axl Rose thought Bowie was flirting with his girlfriend, Erin Everly, he punched out the rock legend. This primitive but high-energy video was shot in 1987 and would have been the band's first promo clip, but it was shelved until 2010.

I know it makes it difficult to plan the trip, but there are lots passes available on the Phoenix craigslist in April. Lots of panicked ASU students as finals near, especially for weekend 2.

Supposedly, it's going to go Calvin/LDR Friday, GNR Saturday, LCD Sunday.
For second/third line acts I think the National, DCFC, M83, Beach House, CHVRCHES, Sufjan, Missy Elliott, ATCQ, OM&M are all likely, along with a token shitty EDM act or two - maybe Jack U, for starters. There's a part of me that's praying GV landed at least one of the big "old-school" electronic acts which are active (Chems, Massive Attack, Underworld) but I won't hold my breath on that one.
i figured Pixies were a longshot, but why not lenny? he's playing hangout (GV) so I don't see why not unless theres some tour dates I'm unaware of. The one EDM act i truly am dying to see in the polo fields is Flume, who just dropped a preview to his next album "Skin" which is sick www.toneden.io/flume/post/skin-LP-preview.
