Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If I owned a website I wouldn't give story credit to a freakin message board either. It's a bad look.
Precisely. Sorry guys but a website crediting some message board is kind of a joke. It's not like The Rolling Stone is going to say, "According to Daytime Goth from Inforoo..." Really? Do you expect them to do that?
Plenty of them have with GNR scoopz though.
I don't really care about this one way or another, but sites like Gawker report on stories that bubbled up from message boards and still give credit. Referencing discussion forums is pretty common.
All I know about the drive from Palm Springs to Coachecllea is that there is an In-N-Out just past the on-ramp for the highway. It was a glorious way to start/end the day.
right next to Del Taco if i remember correctly.. abused those 2 a good bit this last Coachella

used to work there, get Whole Grilled Onion on your burger it is life changing. It's an onion slice that they grill and they don't chop it up like they do the normal grilled onions.
Car camping. It's not like Bonnaroo where tent camping is at the front, at Coachella it's way at the back. On top of not having somewhere to store valuables you get put in the farthest point in the campgrounds.
so where are we with the EDM? other than calvin (blegh) is it reasonable to expect at least a couple out of Jack U, Flume, Bassnectar, Disclosure, Odesza, Knife Party, Zeds Dead, or Rustie?

Rustie recently cancelled all his future events due to addiction and mental health problems so he's probably out.

Disclosure is rumored, as are Dubfire, Jean Michel Jarre, Major Lazer and Infected Mushroom.
I appreciate the pageantry of BLAM. I have enjoyed things like crossword puzzles, and wheels of fortune, and CTA subway clues.
But the day when it's time to fasten your seat belt knowing that Coachella could drop at any moment.... that's the good stuff.
For other fests you'd be content to see the lineup via text in some newspaper article, or artist names in the image link directory of some website. Not Coachella. You need that moment when you're refreshing the mobile site and you get a tiny glimpse of a jpeg in a color shade you don't remember seeing before. Even if the big names have already been tipped, there's nothing that diminishes that feeling when you open up the poster and take it all in. Do you scan the second line first? The third? The last? By day or all at once. There's no wrong answer.

Happy lineup week all.
It's kind of funny - all these fests come up with all these different ways to tease/release the lineup. "BLAM," crosswords, picture hunts, clues, whatever. Yet the Coachella lineup poster is easily the only truly "iconic" one among them. The style and font is immediately recognizable, and the fact that they don't necessarily tell you when it's coming makes it's release all the more enjoyable.
We get it. You love Coachella. J/k. It might not be the most interesting way to drop a lineup, but I do think it's more rewarding once it does drop. Very few festivals actually give you the initial lineup with artists organized by day. And they've clearly figured out a winning formula in terms of lineup graphics. To be honest, I really disliked Bonnaroo's 2015 font theme and color scheme. The font style in particular made it difficult to take Bonnaroo seriously.

I liked where Gov Ball was going with the crossword puzzle, but the clues have been too sporadic to keep my interest. If you're going to have people fill out a crossword puzzle with artists' names, drop the puzzle 3-4 weeks before the full lineup comes out, and give one clue each day Monday-Friday.

Cochella also has the advantage of going first, originally just because they were in April and now with many of the prime names locked out of announcing dates until after Cochella comes out.
So when the Coachella poster does drop out of nowhere, it's guaranteed to contain a few surprises and generate excitement that way.

Coachella's is great. I preferred the year or two (or more) when Bonnaroo would just commission some artist to make a video that announces the lineup. Or when they had Conan or someone else just read off all the names. A 5-minute video is so much easier than a 3-hour extravaganza. The "get people involved through social media announcements" was a terrible mess.
I liked when Bonnaroo had given instructions to the artists to find some artistic/unique way to announce they were playing (Avetts did like a painting video or some junk) but the problem there was only like 10 acts actually did anything so we had to wait for the official lineup anyway.
