all i want is a top line of arcade fire - gorillaz - kanye
Not counting on Gorillaz getting booked again, I thought they weren't well received last time. But I love how you say it like that is an easy, simple set of headliners when Kanye and Gorillaz are not exactly the most common festival artists

kanye does at least 1 fest every year since 2013 that i can think of. including 3 in 2014. he's not a crazy rare festival act. but ya i get what you're saying with gorrilaz.

I just don't see LCD and Jack U conflicting. They're going to put LCD up against cannon fodder, not against the biggest act of the day. Jack U closing the main seems the most obvious way around that, but there are plenty of other options as well.
I'm obviously not saying this is correct. But if I get to see
HEALTH > Most of Black Coffee > 2manydjs > the end of Sufjan > M83 >ASAP Rocky > Half of the Kills > Underworld > LCD Soundsystem
...that's a pretty good day.
That clashfinder is a goddamn mess, because nobody seems to want to embrace the possibility that Jack U closes the main. And I would be beyond shocked if they had Underworld in the Sahara.
That said, if this was real I could see
Lapsley/Mbongwana Star, Front Bottoms, Mavis Staples/Joey Badass, HEALTH/Black Coffee/Savages/2manydjs/Sufjan, St. Germain, Foals/Bob Moses, Underworld, LCD Soundsystem. Basically, I could either split sets with acts that I like, or I could see any of the "slash" acts in full, and pretty much any combination would make me happy. Possibly the best single festival day I've ever seen.
If Jack U closes the main, what goes at the outdoor? I feel like Sufjan or Foals would be drowned out by the womps.

If Jack U closes the main, I think Foals makes excellent sense there. They're a pretty loud rock band, they'd be fine.
Sufjan stays earlier in the evening on the Outdoor, with M83 or something on the Main, where it won't be overwhelmingly loud. And again, I saw Sufjan's show last year, and it's really not this whisper-stravaganza that everyone is imagining. It's plenty loud.
That would work pretty well for me to end the night on Underworld.
Though I feel like if the main is
ASAP > Ellie Goulding > LCD > Jack U
then there would be a lot of would-be Sahara people who just wait out LCD for Jack U. But maybe that's just what would happen at Bonnaroo.
Will catching a live stream be easy again this year?
Yep.
The best part is all of the people who will congregate on here to tell you how badly each show sucked, as they believe that a webcast will actually recreate the experience of seeing something in person. Happens every year, and it's glorious.

I've seen the opposite happen as well. I've watched shows online that I thought were great, but people that were actually there didn't enjoy it.

So this is still unreasonably good.
Hope I get to catch the Dewaele Brothers and James Murphy at Despacio throughout the weekend. Would be pretty extraordinary to get two shows from either of them in a single fest.
There are people who show up in this thread every year and talk about how bad the crowd is. Just wait, it's phenomenal. Just hillbilly idiocy at its finest.
You mean like watching the 75 people that showed up for Blur? Or 50% of the crowd being shown during Outkast on their phones?
