Coachella app is showing a surprise act each day... I could see one being Panic! I am hoping the other surprise acts are of the same popularity but are a little cooler than Panic

Imagine Frank Ocean
As awesome as that would be, is there any reason to guess him. He was a headliner at FYF last year and till he was replaced by Kanye. Seems a little to big. But who knows, in 14 they added Pixies and Julian Casablancas + the Voidz

some dude here said they cancelled the show at his college to play coachella. They said they cancelled for other commitments but have nothing else booked the next two weeks so it seems legit.

Why does Coachella wait to release its schedule so much longer than other festivals?
Maybe to avoid weeks of negative feedback?
Here's your schedule, sorry you don't have time to bitch, have fun.
(I have no idea)
I would assume part of that and part of "it's not 100% finalized until that close".
Look at the past few years of Bonnaroo. We get the schedule early but there have been a TON of changes, to the point that whole sections of the schedule are moved around. Causes problems if someone planned/printed out their schedule after it's released and doesn't keep up with all the switches. Also, leads to complaints which goes back to your first point.
I like getting my schedules way in advance, even if they do change a bit along the way.
Opposite for me! I muchhhh prefer it being correct and well thought out the first time. Coachella usually handles their schedule pretty masterfully, they can take all the time they need for that

I like they way Coachella does it. They give you the daily breakdown, so you have a good idea what to expect, but you can't change the schedule so what difference does it make? I find I listen to more of the artists on the lineup leading up to the fest since I don't know what exactly I'll be able to see yet.
