Chem Bros have done 3 U.S. Shows for Born in the Echoes, I don't think they're touring next year. At least I haven't seen anything on their website that has to do with further (no pun intended) US shows.

Well, their website wouldn't have listings for festivals that haven't announced their lineups yet, now would it?
where the fuck did I say festivals? I'm saying they haven't played a U.S. Show that wasn't a festival and the only U.S. shows have been festivals. It would be weird to play Coachella like a year after the album releases and it's not relevant anymore.

Tell that to all the artists who played Coachella this year after releasing their last album in late 2013 or early 2014. As for The Chemical Brothers, it would be only 9 months after Born in the Echoes was released.

They're playing Ultra, so Coachella doesn't seem too out of the question.
Today I learned that one of the best albums of 2015, by one of the great electronic acts of all time, will lose all relevance less than 9 months after release.
Good thing they didn't book Daft Punk. It's been more than two years since they last released an album. How irrelevant.
I personally loved it but it seems the general consensus from everyone is that it isn't that great. I feel like everyone is getting their hopes up for them to appear on the festival circuit but it just seems extremely unlikely.

You need to remember that Coachella tends to land acts that don't always appear on every other festival in North America. Im sure Juggs could elaborate on this further, but I can think of a dozen great acts that played Coachella in recent years, who followed with very limited dates before and after, within the US
I'm looking into attending for the first time next year. Would be flying in, so would need to go the hotel route. Any recommendations for where to stay?

In the Coachella Valley.
Good suggestion. Maybe a specific hotel that you know of which is on the cheaper side.

The only "cheap" hotels left at this point are going to be on the other side of the Salton Sea in Westmorland, CA, about 50min drive from the festival. That's where I"m staying this year and I've stayed there before. The drive is traffic free with no red lights and goes by real quick. I'm at Americas Best Value Inn.
