Anyone here coming from around Mpls? We're trying to figure out how long it will take and what the best time to leave would be. I kinda figured around 7pm on Wednesday, drive through the night and get to 'Roo around 8am or so on Thursday...does that sound about right?
It's 960 miles and about 14 hours + gas stops. We are leaving Tuesday and staying at a hotel in Murfreesboro. That's thirty miles north of the festival. Time to relax and sit in the pool. Staying in the vip section, so waiting to get in should not be a problem. Hope to be in line around 8 or so. Have a safe trip.
I've driven to MN a few times to see the Vikings (I'm a huge fan) It takes right at 14 hours with stops from my house. Add an hour to roo for about 15 hours. This is doing about 5 mph over the speed limit. Skol Vikings!!

My wife is from Minnesota (Rochester) and we have made the drive a few times, and I love the scenery. I usually work the main stage medical tent Best of travels to those from the Gopher State and hopefully I won't see anyone.

^^ ^^ No, if you get there too early they'll stick you way in the back. After the morning rush the placement is pretty random. Tryin to get there around 11-noonish, leaving at 7:00 from Uptown with a stop in Madison. This worked out last year, should again.
I'm coming from St. Paul, 4 of us I think in one car. I like the tuesday 7 hours to a hotel idea myself, 14 hours is so long
We like stopping in Murfreesboro Wednesday. It's less than 30 minutes to Roo and you get one more good-nights sleep before the festival. I know it's a bit more expensive but, the beds at the Double Tree in Murfreesboro are the best I've ever found in a hotel.
sorry to hear about the no ride situation, mouse. I'm coming from st. paul, but our rental van is already filled up, so unfortunately I can't help you out. good luck though!
well if worst comes to worst we'll rent a luggage rack for the top and throw you up there! in all seriousness i hope it works out, we rented a minivan last year and it was nice to not have to worry about taking our own cars or anything, but it's an extra 150 bucks, plus it might be hard to get one if you're not 25. If anyone drops out of our van i'll let you know, because EVERYONE should be able to get to bonnaroo!!

left from the twin cities 2007 and 2008, leaving from winona area this year, which will make it a slightly shorter drive (like 13 hours instead of 15 or so)

I LOVE 10KLF!!! I am in MPLS area and go every year to Roo and 10klf! That's the "chill" festival that's still quite the party!!! Love it! We are leaving on Tuesday evening - 10pm-ish....taking our own sweet time! I can't wait!!!!!
