uh, have you been to a gay bar? the way straight girls fawn over all the gay boys is insanity. especially when they step over my territory. some beyotch has stolen my very own brother as her gay BFF and I'm really not happy about it.
and have you ever heard of lance bass? thousands of screaming girls will go ape shit for him regardless if he would never come near them.
I think girls might actually freak out even more over the gay boys.
It's pretty simple, everyone wants what they can't have. It's kind of like the wedding ring phenomenon.
coming from someone who has been proposed to by at least 5 gay men and has made plans to raise children with several more, I think it may be slightly correct.
as my mom and I always say, all the good ones are gay.... sigh.
Anyone think its likely that Sam Smith gets added as #1 on the lineup and plays after Billy Joel on Sunday? Or maybe it would be Billy Joel then Robert Plant then Sam Smith to close out the fest? 40% chance?
Well, that's not very relevant considering the fact that he is openly gay.... In fact he thanked the last guy he dated that dumped him for the awards because the he wrote the album that won all the awards because of that guy breaking his heart

No, I have never been to a gay bar and see no reason for me to go. And no, I don't know who Lance Bass is...

He's an astronaut.
Monie ruined your joke, I just read her post and discovered he was in nsync. The name sounded kinda familiar but I never would've guessed that he was a boy band member

well, for one, you're missing out. they make their drinks 10x stronger than any other bar. also, it's where the best parties are at.

Uhhh. 110% chance, give or take 110%.
hell yeah. lets get to work on those mocks people.

and, hello, NSYNC! c'mon, fore.
Well, if there is any place that I want to get weak drinks so I can maintain my wits about me, it's in a bar where surrounded by gay men, haha. But really, I'm not even 21 yet (March 4 is so close I can almost taste the vomit in my mouth from the morning after) and ive never had a reason to go to a gay bar.
Yeah, I'm pretty proud that I didn't know who lance bass was, backstreet and nsync were dreadful. The only relation I've ever had with them is making fun of my slightly older cousin, who's a girl, for being obsessed with such shitty music just because cute, metro and gay guys were in it

best reason to go to a gay bar is to have gay sex on the down low. good if you don't want other people to find out (girlfriend, wife, etc).

you're too young. you just wouldn't understand how incredible the times were as an 8-year-old girl during the peak of BSB & NSYNC.
and also. were you like 4 when making fun of your cousin? what 4 year old had good taste in music?!

I'm talking about around the time when No Strings Attached came out, I was six and my favorite bands were (and still are) Modest Mouse and Pixies, so I certainly had good enough taste in music to talk shit on someone for listening to those groups

the idea of a 6-year-old talking shit to someone about their music is cracking me up.
I definitely didn't discover good music until middle school/high school. the first band I was a hipster about was panic! at the disco
I hope my really really far away future children are cooler than I was.
YES! WANT! (oh, and Walk the Moon. Really, my demands are quite reasonable)
Oh heck yeah! Those two would be killer additions. I was front row for Matt and Kim craziness two years ago and I'm looking to do it again. My leg was bleeding heavily at the end and I didn't even remember how it happened after the fact! It was a magical experience! Also seeing WTM again would be great because I didn't really know their music well the first time so I couldn't get into the energy as much as I wanted too. A redo for me to go crazy in the pit would be nice. But yeah, aside from Tame Impala (PSH! Like that's happening) these are the only two I would need to satisfy me with the additions.

When I was 6 I was listening to the chipmunks and barney sing-a-longs

I listened to atypical music for my age because I started skateboarding when I was five and it wasn't really a popular thing to do yet, like it is now. So none of the kids my age skated and I got sponsored when I was six, so all of the guys I grew up with, that are like my brothers were all in highschool back then. So, they were all hip with their music because: 1. They were hitting highschool and actually starting to get good taste in music and 2. Because they were skateboarders and skaters are very weird about their music, anything mainstream is automatically shunned.
Anyway, it's funny now because I'm just about to turn 21 but the friend who I've been closest with for 75% of my life just turned 30 last year.

Gay bars can be great. I used to go to drag shows at a place near my house in college and it was a rollicking good time. Only place I've had drinks bought for me, heavy pours, good music, nice people.

I have been to one drag show, but it wasn't at a gay bar and it's a longggg, weird story, haha.

You were a sponsored skateboarder at six years old? A year after you started skating? You must have been amazing.

I skated almost constantly when I wasn't in school. My sponsor when I was six was just a skateshop but I was surrounded by a great enrivornment for skateboarding and progressed quickly, eventually getting "real" sponsors when I was eight (DC, Electric, Element, Volcom, and some others.) I turned pro at 13 but I quit all my sponsors when I went to highschool because I didn't feel that I skated enough to justify them giving me all the product and paying for my travel and they always treated me amazing and kept it real, so I kept it real with them when I thought I wasn't doing enough anymore to be sponsored. Plus, I wanted to focus on school sports in highschool (wrestling/football) and the coaches wouldn't exactly be delighted to have me risking my health on a skateboard, haha. Then, after I graduated highschool, I started skating everyday again and getting really good again and started talking to companies about sponsorship and then I got in my accident and I won't be able to skate again. But, yeah, I was good, but I'm not one to brag about it all. I still go up to the skatepark and as much as I can to see all my buddies and try to help em figure out new tricks. Skating is the one thing in this world that I love as much as music.
