Or just a monologue with his tween sounding british accent that the girls seem to soak their pants over.
Well, that's not very relevant considering the fact that he is openly gay.... In fact he thanked the last guy he dated that dumped him for the awards because the he wrote the album that won all the awards because of that guy breaking his heart
I'm fully aware he's gay. I don't think the fact he's gay stops women from lusting over him, not to mention makes them stop loving British accents.

ITT: People claim Bonnaroo is great at booking up and coming acts.
Something I've thought about is that this year's line-up might look really different if some people in the top 10 have big albums.
If Kendrick, My Morning Jacket, Florence and Alabama Shakes all put out well received releases, the top 10 would look a lot better. Or maybe 3/4 of them will be boring and the line-up will look worse.

Well, he's also just an unattractive guy (gay or not) so I haven't really heard any girls lust over him the way they do about Sheeran or any of those other Brits that have cast a spell on teenage American females. Ladies do really love those accents, I guess I get it though, I like gals with accents.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

hell mumford could put out a album with nothing but silence and it would look a lot better

Anyone think its likely that Sam Smith gets added as #1 on the lineup and plays after Billy Joel on Sunday? Or maybe it would be Billy Joel then Robert Plant then Sam Smith to close out the fest? 40% chance?
I wouldn't be opposed to Roo bringing back Bernhoft. He was fucking amazing in 2013. Aside from how long the haircut got, which did go to a great cause so I can't give it too much grief, it was so much fun.

Ummmm... PLEASE!!! I'm willing to take those two bullets if we get the Smiths out of it. Though, Morrissey will almost certainly be dead

Does Adele count like that one person said? I don't know if that is considered booking her before she blew up because I don't know much about her.
Roo, isn't widely known for that but they do have some acts they've promoted a bunch before blowing up. Kings of Leon and Avett Brothers, and Zac Brown Band are the standouts. I guess you could count My Morning Jacket, too, but they're not nearly as big as the others.
I do always feel like the Bonnaroo Thursday acts are littered with acts on the verge of blowing up but that's kind of the point. I'm sure some of these artists played Coachella or some other festival prior to Roo but just in 2008 and 2009 I discovered: MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Felice Brothers, Portugal. The Man, Passion Pit, Delta Spirit.
Alt-J Thursday 2013 is another one that sticks out. I don't know if they have necessarily "blown up" but they have gotten pretty damn popular.
At best Bonnaroo books the same amount of acts that are about to blow up as everyone else, but it really seems like fewer to me. My impression is that they seem to book the new guys you were jonesin to see last year.
For instance this year: Ben Booker, Courtney Barnett, Temples, Jungle, Strand of Oaks, Sturgill Simpson, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib.

uh, have you been to a gay bar? the way straight girls fawn over all the gay boys is insanity. especially when they step over my territory. some beyotch has stolen my very own brother as her gay BFF and I'm really not happy about it.
and have you ever heard of lance bass? thousands of screaming girls will go ape shit for him regardless if he would never come near them.
I think girls might actually freak out even more over the gay boys.

It's pretty simple, everyone wants what they can't have. It's kind of like the wedding ring phenomenon.

I absolutely love him. I have now even met him and we shared a moment on the cold roads of Chicago. He told me he liked my coat and gave me a side hug. It was a special moment that ll cherish forever. He's a sweetheart, British and has the voice of an angel. I'm going to have his babies. It's going to happen.

Good points but this ends up working out for someone like me who is behind the curve a bit. I only really started to learn about/check out Ben Booker, Strand of Oaks, and Sturgill Simpson months after Roo last year. If I had actually kept up on who is new and exciting I'd probably be complaining a bit more about Roo getting guys too late haha.

coupled with my last post about having Sam's babies, I'm sure it's no surprise to know that Lance was my favorite N*SYNCer growing up. I cripple under blue eyes, I can't help it.
