What the hell are you talking about? NO. — If you like Jack White you'll love Royal Blood Again, NO. — If you like Nero you'll like Rudimental I guess?? Totally different though. — If you like Phantogram you'll like Odesza. more electronic though I think. Less female vocals on most racks NOT COMPARABLE. — If you like My Morning Jacket you'll like Moon Taxi Hmmm. Maybe? — If you like the Bee Gees or scissor sisters you'll like Jungle Finally agree. — If you like like Allah las from last year, you'll love Temples and The Growlers They sound nothing alike. — If you like MGMT you may like Woods Agree again. — If you like Pretty Lights you'll like Gramatik This is kinda, somewhat close? Not really. — If you like Ty Segall you'll like King Gizzard
2/9 isn't bad for someone with shitty music tastes.
I know how we all feel about miami dolphins fanboy, but I have to agree on the royal blood & odesza comparisons. while no, they may not be directly correlated, I can definitely see people who like those particular artists liking the style of the other artist.
Jack White?! Seem a bit too hard for that. They sound more like if the Arctic Monkeys had a baby with Queens of the Stone Age. And I can't really compare a live act with a heavenly female singer and backing band to a DJ duo. Just how my reasoning went with those two. But hey, to each their own!

I think you're looking at this with a bit too narrow of a scope. these artists may not be musical twins, but there are definitely similar qualities. and considering most people like more than just one single genre and only artists that all sound identical, it's good to explore expansions on those types of music.
a bunch of my friends who are into edm/electronic-based pop like both phantogram & odesza, myself included. I can see the connection. these are all just meant to be suggestions and a gateway to finding new music to explore.
also. how the hell would this song not appeal to jack white fans? the first time I heard it jack white was who I thought of immediately, actually.

Okay, I'm gonna go through and correct these. Or suggest alternatives. That sounds better.
Royal Blood sounds a lotttt more like Arctic Monkeys. Okay, I can maybe see a The White Stripes comparison, to be fair, but Royal Blood is not very comparable to Jack White's solo work.
Isn't Nero one of those run of the mill shitty EDM acts? Kind of Hardwell/Skrillex esque, right? Haven't listened to much of them at all, honestly. But I would say Rudimental has more of a Disclosure vibe. Though that isn't a good comparsion. I'm gonna step out on this one because I only recently heard Rudimental's stuff (post lineup drop) and haven't given it that many listens.
The Odesza/Phantogram thing makes some sense to me, though not on the vocal aspect. But the instrumentals in, say, "Don't Move" and "Turning into Stone" from Phantogram are roughly similar to most of Odesza's instrumental sounds? Meh, but there's so much different between the two too. I would say if you like Cashmere Cat, you'd really like Odesza.
This Jungle/Bee Gees comparison nonsense. I cannot even. Jungle is really unique and chill and kind of like an MGMT with disco groove - but Bee Gees? Those vocals? Sound nothing like Jungle.
Again, much confusion here. MGMT vs Woods? Haven't listened to much of the latter, but isn't it chill rock? What I've heard from them was light years away from MGMT's sound.
Pretty Lights vs. Gramatik, yeah that makes a fair amount of sense. Finally, one point awarded!!
Ty Segall and King Gizzard are both grunge-ish/gruff-sounding rock, sorta, yeah. But no, not very similiar.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Okay, you got me on that song, especially the vocals. I think the rest is a stretch... Jack isn't nearly that hard; his guitars definitely don't drive like that. But I am being super literal here, you're right. I'm allowed to play the game differently.

I first heard the royal blood on the radio and i thought it was a new jack white song.

Yeah. I was just posting bands that are simliar genres. Some may not even sound alike like woods and mgmt, but most who like one, usually like the other because of the type of age group/draw/style/genre/vibe, whatever. Woods and Mgmt is the biggest stretch, but both have an indie psych kind of sound. Woods, not so much obviously, but you can see signs in some songs. I only said Nero because they have big hit Drum and bass high vocal tracks and so does Rudimental, but if your looking for DnB, Rudimental is all there is basically. All my other comparisons I feel are fine enough to not get all whiny about, but I understand how tempting it is to throw jabs for no reason to just get off to a couple more likes from others who feel they need to battle everyone for who knows more about music.

Hahahahahaha... Yes, that's why I'm here...to get...likes. Because I know less than you—the most musically inept person that frequents this board—about music.

You really need to stop your shit. You make no sense. How do you consider me to be musically inept? I really want solid examples, or seriously stop commenting on my stuff, it's getting old now and you are stupid.
