just a heads up you don't need a passport to drive over, just to fly at this point. at least that's the way it is for americans i would think it's the same for canadiens. then again when i re-read your post mabe you are flying and you got your shit togather. either way have fun

There is 4-6 of us heading down from New Brunswick!!! Cannot wait its going to be a scene!
I'm driving from Kelowna, BC to Seattle and then flying to Nashville.....you don't need a passport if you fly out of the states....can't wait to party with my fellow canadians....too bad we can't bring our beer ;D
May I suggest those driving to Bonnaroo consider carpooling? If you split gas prices you'll save yourself a fortune, and you'll meet cool new people! (ie: me!) I'm looking for a ride from Toronto > Bonnaroo, but I need to be there by June 10th to volunteer pre-festival. Please let me know if you are heading down that early! THANKS!
Hey There Fellow Canadians! My God there are going to be a whole field of us there from North of the border.
"Fromthelandofmud" How long does it take you and what is your itinerary for leaving? We are coming from Pembroke, Ontario, and it normally takes me 4 hours to get to T.O. We planon driving straight through until we crash in a hotel on Wednesday night. Do you take the Sarnia Bridge or do you go through Buffalo or windsor? Which way is quickest?

My girlfriend are I are coming from Toronto (Etobicoke actually); leaving Wednesday morning, getting a hotel for the night, then camping starting Thursday.
Tracy, I'm sure there are many ways to get there, but we're going through Detroit (as opposed to Buffalo - Peace Bridge).
Hey Leafs Fan, Have you been to Roo before and whats your idea on timing? It will take us about 4 hours to get to T.O then I believe we will stop somewhere around Nashville. WE will see......

Hey man, i've done roo three times coming down from stinky old barrie, ontario.
From the T.O it's about a 13-14 hour drive. I'd reccomed taking Sarnia rathe than Detriot, if you even slightly look like a hippy they'll tear your car apart in Detriot when they hear you're going to a music festival (i have some horror stories), but they're alot more casual in Sarnia and it's not really a longer drive even though it looks it on the map.
I would highly reccomend hitting up a cheap hotel late on the Wednesday night instead of driving through the night. I've done it, but it's not fun... You'll get there thursday morning and the heat will make you want to do nothing but sleep, then it fu*ks up your whole sleep schedule for the fest and you find yourself missing some of the best shows that happen late at night. My iternerary this year will be something like this:
Wednesday: 4pm - Leave Barrie 8pm - Cross the Border (leave about 1/2 an hour for this) 2:30am - Hotel somewhere around Louisville, KY Thursday: 8am - Check out 12pm - Arrive @ Bonnaroo
Oh, and you don't need a passport if you're travelling by land.

Hey soulmate, sorry for the late reply...haven't been on this site for a while, but it looks like gogogajoob answered your questions. I haven't been to Roo anyways, but here's my timing
Wednesday Leaving Tor: 6am Arriving in Nashville: 8pm (depending on what we stop to see on the way Getting a hotel and a nice sleep
Thursday Getting up whenever and drive about an hour to heaven : )
We've pretty much decided on crossing at Sarnia. A bunch of people on the Michigan thread suggest actually taking the I69 over to flint then down on the I-23. Seems out of the way but most agree that rerouting to miss Detroit is faster faster faster.
You've been to Roo before. What do you suggest and also what time is a good time to get into line on Thursday. I hear the bands start at 12pm noon. That kind of freaks me out because I was planning on getting to Roo lineup at about 9-10pm.

That's the way I come home to Louisville from Montreal every year, seems ot be the fastest. We cross over the 1000 Islands Bridge and take I88 to I90 and so on to get down here.

shh....don't tell him. umm, canada is the unspoiled northern frontier where snow drifts trap sex-crazed frenchmen indoors and a extremely rigid form of humanistic moralism is upheld by cartoon mounties who act like Wild West sheriffs. all we eat are lucky charms and beer.
