Those of you who know me know that I love you. And so I want to clarify my position on the lineup and my not going. I don't hate the lineup. Not at all. Well, the headliners do kinda suck, but we can get past that.
I had already sort of decided that it was going to be next to impossible for me to make it this year. Yes, I did sort of lose my shit upon hearing about Tears for Fears, MMJ and a couple others - and for about an hour I deluded myself into thinking I could make it work. But after I changed my underwear I was back to reality.
I had a really tough year last year and as a result had to short sale my home. I got rid of it but fear that I am going to be eaten alive on taxes this year as a result. I also have had several setbacks along the way that I am still digging out from.
Even if a ticket fell out of the sky, the associated expenses with doing Roo are just going to be prohibitive with some of the other things that I am facing. Add to that the fact that it is close to when my lease and my work contract are both up, and I will very likely be moving again - so it just is not going to work.
So everyone have a great time, and have the best brunch ever. I promise I will return to Roo. Just not this year. And I hope I see many of you in the coming months.
Love you all!
p.s. I am sorry to start a new thread for this but I couldn't figure out where to put it.

We will just have a post Bonnaroo party at your place.
@zenfnp, I understand, I really do, but another Roo without you makes me so sad. We'll have Shaky Knees though, right? And we really need a craft day. And I am hoping to have an IKEA day sometime next month (I hope!) if you want to meet up. Love you, Kim.

Bah I hate this, but I totally understand
Being a grown up and being responsible certainly does suck, but you have to do it occasionally...... Hopefully we will see you at Shaky Knees!! (I was not planning on going to it, due to finances, but the line-up was way too good to miss).
being an adult is no fun! I am giving up cable and landline - cutting back every way possible. going to Shaky Knees because it's so close and Wanee cause I'm already in.
Once I can help my youngest daughter get a car, I will be able to breathe easier provided there are no other issues and the IRS doesn't have my ass in a sling.
I would love to participate in or even host a craft weekend. When are we talking?

I this. I that. Me, me, me. "I want to help MY daughter." Again, you're being very selfish. What about those of us who won't get to enjoy seeing you. Did you think of that? And who's going to be responsible for the care and feeding of bunny? Could you at least circulate the manual?
don"t think it's not breaking my heart not to see y'all it is what it is though. trying to get this thing turned around!
Okay. If that's the way it has to be, so be it. But this is the last time. I don't care if next year's headliners are Celine Dion, a Sonny & Cher tribute, and the traveling company of Riverdance. No more missed Bonnaroos after this one.

ya know, throw in some Streisand and A Spice Girls reunion and this wouldn't be awful.
I can show ya a few Riverdance moves too. You forget that my last name is Callahan

I don't know Zen, but she seems to have the love of inforoo. I'm sure we can all pitch in and get her on the farm this year, if the issue is strictly financial.
