hey everyone.. me and my three friends are heading down from CT, NJ, and DE for our first roo. no one has a car that would be big enough for 4 people and all there stuff. any suggestions for renting a van or suv? we have only found quotes for like $400+ does anyone do this too and have some secret?
Most national chains are expensive for these larger vehicles. You can check a local company and they may be cheaper. Also Google "car rental discounts" and you can get coupons and codes to get discounts from national chains. Hope this helps.
Your best bet is a mini-van with a roof rack. You'll be able to fit all you're sh!t, and it should be pretty comfy with only 4 people. Unless you know somebody to get you a special rate or something, you're gonna have to pay. I recommend renting something(which is what I've done the past 2 times) if you've got a long drive there. It makes things easier than taking 2 or 3 cars.
Get something good on gas with the prices going up. Also, I think some places are cheaper if you're older then like 21 and older then 25 because I was going to rent a van, but I'm just flying now.
